K-PRO confusion

im a lil confused with the kpro side. how do you go about it? do you have to buy another ecu to an rsx just to be able to get kpro... i thought it could be used on our ecu's the way you guys put things. but the web site says it cant be done. for what i wanna do i know ima need kpro so im saving my money for it and i bought another ecu since i needed a manual one since im changing auto to 5 speed. ... snipe what ecu are you running? a rsx or d17? rufus what ecu did you use even though you wer a boosted d17? and what did you need to have done to have kpro in your car?

please some one lay down the law on me and help me understand

okay so it doesnt matter what ecu i have right now whether the ecu is auto or 5spd? but yet i need a 5spd ecu to run the car if i wanna convert from auto to manual?

you have to have a 5 or 6 speed rsx ecu or a ep 5 speed ecu to convert it to manual and to get k pro..

^^^^^got it so i wanna find a 02-04 rsx ecu manual tranny then from there i just ship to hondata or can someone local do it for me?

Joe at Hasport can do it.

I had a CRV 5 speed ECU.

What does Joe charge if I take my car in and I want k pro? Dont I need a 02 04 ecu though? No kpro love for 05-06's yet?

you can do 05-06 if your motor is an 05-06. you have to have the ecu before you get kpro. I believe joe charges 850-900

but can I make an appointment and take my car in and get kpro in a day? Or will I be down for a few days. And doesn't getting kpro involve a tune and stuff?

it will be down for a few days cause he has to ship it out...i do not think he keeps kpro ECUs in stock. You do not have to have a tune, you can run one of the many many pre programmed basemaps but you won't get the most out of your engine without a tune

Yes, I used to work for Hasport, but have had my own shop next door for many years..

As for the K20Z3 (2006+ Si), there is no k-pro for it. Eventually, there will be another product, but that release date is unknown.. Until then, there is a Hondata reflash for the basic bolt ons..
