Engine serial number location?

hi there, brand new to the forums.

i just purchased an '02 honda civic si, and would like to know if anyone has a round-about idea, where i would be able to locate the serial number or vin number on my engine. i want to know what kind of motor is in it, so i can get started on looking for some parts :cool:

not sure if it's important, but it was imported from england.

all ep chasis where built/assembeld in the old country. it its the typer R you my friend got a k20a2 if not then you got an ep2 with a single cam D series. if you just have a Si model then you my friend got an k20a3 just like the rest of us .there you go homie. :thumbup:

The engine code will be stamped into the block.You have a K20A3
