Pretty soon there will be an option to become a Premium Member which will have more abilities including not seeing ANY ads . There will be a yearly fee for this (something small, like $10-20). Most forums do this and I dunno why I even waited this long to do all this.

Good idea. I'm a part of a Vbulletin forum where you can do that as well. You can pay $10 per year, or like $35 forever... It says "supporter" below your name and you get a tshirt :)

You don't know how bad I want to do that for regular members. I'd be a fucking rich man. $1 per listing. Thats not too much considering its pretty easy to sell parts on this site. Cheaper than ebay fees and a much better targeted audience than craigslist.

I'd just make it so any (member) can view the classifieds, but only members who pay the membership fee can post in the classifieds, have avatars, sigs and all the other fun little things people take advantage of.

It wouldn't affect the chances of selling something since they can still PM, but it will keep the dumbasses who come on strictly to sell hobunk shit from posting 300 different for sale threads, and there would be a lot less 20 post count spamming. It would also decrease the amount of shit talking price bashing drama.

Not only that, but if only paying members get avatars, sigs, etc. it will clean up the boards immensely. It can get annoying scrolling through some trolls life story of a sig.

This site has gone downhill a lot since I first joined 4 years or so ago and I think this may be a step in the right direction. I would be affected by the changes just as anyone else, so I have no reason to be biased one way or another.

other forum's do charge, for example AZMC charges $20 a year and u get a shirt. if you don't pay, u can't post in classifieds or lounge. the only threads u can post on if u are an unpaid member is the new member threads and the planned meets.
If something like this was to happen to AZHT it would filter out a lot of B.S. that some people post and like homeboy Mikey said a lot of SPAM.

But then again there are a lot of lowballers in here, so the traffic in this forum will definably go down. by this, some supporting vendors might see a little decrease in their sales or the business that they provide.
