wow you both gained 20+ hp on intake and exhaust alone....... have you tried racing him with stickier tires and pack 5 of his hommies in the HHR??? (big hommies too!!)

How are you at 220hp with an intake and exhaust, or are you referring to BHP?

Unless you are stating you have 220 BHP or flywheel HP I raise the BS Flag.

im sure you realize how well k20's respond to bolt ons and as she is not specifying wheel or crack HP i personaly would of just let it go unremarked unless your looking to start a problem within this persons thread which is not cool by anymeans,

Dyno sheet ftw!!. my buddy had a cobalt ss (super slow). within a month of him owning the damn thing. everything fucking started rattling. Cobalt.."0" 00 Toyota Mr-s, i/h/e ....."1". as for spending money to make your shit qucker. lighten your ton 1/2lb car. hmmm... but that would void the "Warranty" tho. try smaller wheels? anything to make it beat a cobalt is either going to be expensive I.E "boost" "N/A" Build. or void your "warranty" your car will last sooo much longer. if you take care of it. good luck in your quest.

Um, I own the same vehicle and I won't stand by and let ANYONE spread erroneous information. There is NO WAY the K20Z3 makes 220 HP to the WHEELS with just an intake and exhaust, NO WAY.

There are owners that do intake, race header, cat back exhaust, pulleys, Hondata reflash, Hondata IMG that barely crack 200WHP.

so she messed up big deal dude. at one point in the game when you started you probably made the same wrong assumptions about power.

to the OP, two of my friends have 06+ si's with race header, exhaust, intake, tb spacer, and pulleys and one of my friends has the newer version of the sc ss with stage 2 kit on it and they are just about dead even 1/4 mi and freeway.

thanks ej1ninja, crxhfb16 and typeREgg.....you can do things to your car to make it go faster besides if you do change out what MR. KIDNKORNER you do get to 220 or more and if you didn't realize I didn't say HP or WHP so you point is pointkess!!!! I dont know what this guy is blabbing his f@%#ing mouth but he has got a lot to learn about moding your car and what it can do. Especially whan you change your ECU, intake, exhaust from headers back, different headers, flywheel, cam, pistons and rods, wheels, fuelrail, etc..... and one BIG thing..........if you OUT ON A F@$%ing TURBO and intercooler!!! So SHUT UP about "There are owners that do intake, race header, cat back exhaust, pulleys, Hondata reflash, Hondata IMG that barely crack 200WHP." Sorry but YOU are sadly mistaken!!!

Here's this!!! 06 Civic Si, it's only with the greddy turbo, cam and skunk2 megaPowerR exhaust that's at 198.0 WHP :

I am sadly mistaken? Wow, you are really in the dark aren't you? Do you venture outside of AZHT much? Take a journey over to 8thcivic.com where there is a thread of the 200hp club with dyno graphs posted to back up claims unlike you.

8thcivic.com 200 whp club thread (http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/bolt-ons-all-motor/43137-200-whp-club.html)

Perhaps you should tell us if you meant WHP or BHP. Perhaps you should post the dyno graph to back up your wild claims.

I don't know why you felt the need to throw out a parts list, I know you don't have any of that stuff, nor does it have any bearing on this debate.

Perhaps you weren't aware that there is no plug and play stand alone tuning solution for the 2006 Civic Si. I know of no owner of a 2006+ Civic Si putting all the parts you mention (turbo excluded) on their without being able to tune it, especially pistons, rods and cams without having a way to tune.

The red line in the dyno graph you linked does show an 06 si making the power you mentioned but its with the greddy turbo ONLY. I am also willing to bet the boost setting is really low. All the 06+ Si's I have seen are making in excess of 240 WHP. Additionally what does that dyno graph have to do with me debacling your erroneous info about your Si making 220hp

There are NO 2006+ Civic Si's making 220 WHP with JUST and intake and cat back exhaust, ZERO. But you may tell yourself that all day long that it's possible if you like.

You mentioned I have a lot to learn about modding cars? I have been into the sport compact tuning market since 1998 and have had my share of more than few Honda's. I also own and run All Version Performance, a successful parts and accessories company for a little over a year. So don't preach to me that I have a lot to learn because I'd say it's you who has a lot to learn.

Hey guys. What going on in here? LOL

Sorry There's NWIH you get 220 whp from I/E Im sure she meant bhp. But who cares. A race header would get you 10-15(maybe) more but after that it's starts getting to be pricey for little 1-2 hp gains. Maybe pulleys or reflash the ecu would help. A little.

flywheel, cam, pistons and rods = you cant do any of this shit (the right way), no tuning available.

Cobalt SS/SC = drivers race

Cobalt SS/TC = Cobalt by 2-3 cars

HHR = what happened to you.

Dude I'll get those wheels to you for cheap. They are in government storage though. Bout mid march.

I'm looking for a shop to either install the AJP turbo kit or set me up with a custom job. Let me know if you know of a shop. I'm talking to a guy in phoenix but I think he's looking at the tuning for me. It's gonna be beast!

The cobalt ss supercharged is pretty weak in my opinon, i've driven the ion redline with a stage 2 upgrade, not bad.
The new cobalt ss turbocharged i have yet to drive, but I use to work at saturn and the sky redline engine was not bad at all, which is the same engine in the cobalt and hhr. 260hp 260tq not bad. The factory says its 13.9 1/4 mi but how truthfull is that.

Sucks for them then.

JDM K20A with I/H/E/tune made 218whp in my friends 2001 ITR.

Lets' compare apples to apples, tuning being the BIGGEST factor. If user friendly stand alone tuning was available then the new Si would be able to make way more power as well.

OK, 220hp on just intake and exhaust on 06+ USDM SI's?!
http://www.deepjiveinterests.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/bullshit.jpg

import tuner dyno tests on these parts:
BANKROLL
Skunk2 Mega Power R cat-back exhaust $538.65
Fujita Short Ram air intake $258.00
Vibrant Performance Si Header with High Flow Cat $899.95
TOTAL $1,696.60

CONCLUSION:
BASELINE 172.1whp 121.7ft/lbs

FINAL 184.4whp (+12.3 from stock) / 129.4ft/lbs (+7.7 from stock)
$1,696.60 for 12.3hp?

to the op you should run your husband on a cayon pass then it will be drivers race. racing on a straight line w/ an import is wack anyways. or take it to the track and see what the outcome is. that would be more of a fair race. i've taken srt4's with 300 whp and slow balts w/ at elast 250 whp, evo's and many other "fast modded" cars. just my .02

Stock SS Supercharged: 205bhp
GM Stage 1: 220 bhp
GM Stage 2: 240bhp

^ factory intake and exhaust. Not aftermarket.

BONE STOCK Cobalt SS Turbocharged are making almost 250 WHP and 250WTQ, not to mention the launch control and factory no lift shift. On just a tune, intake and exhaust they are putting down easily 300whp. With a good driver at the track they are easily low to flat 13 second cars with i/e/tune. HHR Turbo, I mean what can you say? Its a Homo Hot Rod hahaha

boost the civic si, get the new flashpro, get a good tune and trust me you will smoke him hard, even with a supercharger you could smoke him if you drove it good from the launch.
