I've heard countless people talking about "getting in shape this year", including friends so here it is. I'm creating this in attempt to keep us motivated throughout the year and encourage one another. We're all here for the same reason. This is not a thread to talk shit, make fun of, etc. Any negative post I find will be deleted. On to the rules...

I need a starter program if anyone has one. I use to be in shape but am now not as tone as I should be.

Ohh my g/f and I are going to join the million pound weight loss program for the next season of the biggest loser. Anyone else looking to gain weight should sign up as well. For every pound that "America" loses, The Biggest Loser will give 1 pound of food to needy families.

Props on benching 360... I can only Dumbell press 20 lb dumbells right now, I think I tore something in my shoulder and I'm fucking pissed cause its been like 3 weeks now w/o being able to lift any real weight :cry:

dumb bell pressing will fuck your shoulder up more. tend to use a lot of shoulder strength with db trying to keep balance.

dood i think i fucked up my right shoulder using dumb bells. I was doing 70's on an incline.. did # sets of ten. Shit hurts now but i been playing ball still $3000 this weekend! gotta hoop

yeah man i wouldnt doubt it. db incline is real bad. people tend to end up using more shoulder strength. stick to the bar and it will target your chest muscles.

what workout can i do to work out my inner chest?

to get a full chest. wich a lot of people dont work out the upper part of there chest to often. do incline. close grip bench also.

yeah man i wouldnt doubt it. db incline is real bad. people tend to end up using more shoulder strength. stick to the bar and it will target your chest muscles.

yeah i learned my lesson. i wanna give it some time to rest but i been gettin shoulder rubs on the daily so it helps. and the weight was more than i usually do too

Pec deck flys have created more striation in the center of my chest than anything else

Squeeze for 3 seconds, open for 3 seconds, squeeze for 3 seconds and you get the idea

3 sets of 8 at a lighter weight will cause an insane burn by the end of your second set. Just make sure you target your pecs and aren't using your shoulders to squeeze. When you bring your hands together squeeze with your pecs tight. You'll know you're doing it right if you feel like a pinching burn down the center of your chest.

Works amazing dude, try it!

I used to just stack the machine and do like 4 sets of 6 without the pauses, but I do like 50-60lbs now with this routine and get such a better workout.

Dood i was just checkin my checking account and i ate out alot on there. They arent bad places though. But still i think that has to be part of my new years resolution is to eat better or just at home.

i am just getting back into lifting after i messed up my shoulder, i put up the 100' db like 8 x not bad but i used to rep the 110 db 3x10. I dont think i can even get up 250 any more :(

anyways. week later. 245lb. rope curled 190lbs at 3 sets of 6 and then did this killer bicept workout that mikey showed me before i left the gym today. noticable thinning in the face.

yeah i like it. good stuff so far.


pic from earlier. actually gained 5lbs. im noticeably bigger in person. chest is alot fuller, back is bigger. arms are bigger. ill get measurements at the end of january and post up.

i work out by myself too homie. no biggie. dont try to lift more than you can handle. i dont try to do anything that i know i cant get more than 1 on.. if i wanna do absolute max. 1 rep. then ill ask for a spot
