[Koopa Troopa]

So I meet up with this friend of a friend last Friday night. She's 33, very knowledgeable about cars and has an 11 year old. Cool chick but it was like hanging out with my mom so I made up an excuse about how I was too tired and wanted to go home.

Anyways on my way home I got some Zanpa Shiro awamori and headed to Araha Beach to get drunk. I took a nap and in my drunken stupor I discovered this cafe. Awesome place with great people. Here's a few shots and I'll post more later.

all great shots man, i really like the one with the christmas tree in the background, great colors... also the dog is a great shot, the paintings, and the guitar player.

i really like the framing in most of the shots... it's direct but not too much so that you lose interest... i can really tell you've had a lot of practice!

what are you doing in japan, are you stationed there or do you live there? if either how do you like it? i really want to go someday soon.

I'm stationed in Okinawa, January 30 will be my 4 year anniversary and in June I should be getting stationed in Iwakuni so I am pretty excited about that. I do plan on staying in Japan when I am done with the military. I really love Okinawa and Japan in general. It's a great place with great people. It has it's quirks but so does everything else.

yeah i just love the culture and the people... i'm planning on learning japanese by myself it doesn't seem to be too hard, the only thing i think i'll struggle with is the pronunciation of certain things and similar sounding words... are you fluent after 4yrs?

I really didn't start learning Japanese till like my second year. Japanese is pretty difficult to learn if you're not around it 24/7. It's the complete opposite of English in the grammatical sense. I'm not fluent but I can hold a conversation or start my own.

Okinawa technically.. It's like the Guam of Japan but then again Japanese people would rather go to Guam for a vacation then Okinawa.. Okinawa is like the poor Japanese dude's Hawaii...

i stopped in okinawa once when i was leaving korea. in korea it was snowing, and it was hot like summer in okinawa. i dont blame you for staying in japan. id love to go there some day.

Mostly rice/ noodles done up in different ways served with different shit.

I stopped in Korea once in January.. It was -12ºF + wind.... I was in jeans and a t-shirt. The 100 yards or so to the terminal was probably the longest 100 yards or so I've ever had to walk..:dumbass:
