I went out to the track today and the best time I managed was a 14.399. I am running a B18B with a t3/t4 turbo. I pulled 200HP on the dyno. I was on street tires at the track and I still have an open dif. I was trapping at 103.21mph and my 60' was 2.6 seconds at best. I have my launch control set a 4300rpm and I spin all the way through 1st and 2nd. I had my tire pressure set at 44psi when I achieved my best 60' time. I lowered the psi to 28 and I experienced excessive wheel hop which forced me to significantly back off the throttle.

Here are my questions:
With that trap speed what would you expect my et to be?

What rpm would you suggest launching at? (I am considering backing it down to 2.6k)

What upgrade would you go with first, slicks or a LSD?

With slicks and a LSD will I still experience the same wheel hop? If so, what can I do to reduce it?

buy slicks for sure

w/slicks I'd say preload and let out around 5.5k to 6k

its possible to still get some wheel hop so i'd get traction bar

Low to mid 13's at that mph

you could also upgrade ur motor mounts to eliminate wheel hop

I have the solid polyurethane mounts from Hasport

Get a traction bar either innovative or full race...

you don't have to really change out motor mounts I was running stock motor mount inserts and mounts until I made a 475 whp than the driver side ripped but the main thing is get an LSD first, than get some slicks. You don't really need traction bars for 200 whp I ran mid 11's without one and never had wheel hop but I have an LSD and slicks I added a traction bar and I don't really feel that much difference. Also your trap speeds should get you around 13.3.

I don't have a traction bar and I am in a 98 civic.

I have been hearing most people say get slicks ASAP and they have been posting up good times without a LSD. What do you guys think first, Slicks or LSD?

Having the combination is the best you can do, see with my car I am making 600 plus Wheel horspower so I wouldn't even go to the track without having slicks, also having lsd with slicks you will run faster times than just having slicks. I would invest in getting an LSD first and than getting slicks and than going to the track, but if you want to see your times now and can't wait just get some slicks but If you are running stock axles and you making decent horsepower you will probably break an axle.

Get an LSD and buy my 205/55-14 Nitto 555R drag radials that are mounted on steelies for $100!

seriously thats way too much.. thats probly the max your tire can hold.. should be glad it didnt blow out!

man i ran a low 13 at 103mph on drag radials
so i think u should be able to get ur times down near mine
deffinatly get som better tires tho
