Ummmm the valve cover is off the motor. And a dremel is nice and all but id rather have a pro do it!

i would use a band saw or a cut off wheel. It will clog the disk up but it should be good enough for that size of cut.

a grinder or cut off wheel will do a much cleaner job then a plasma cutter. you can do this yourself with as good of results as any "professional".

i would think a grinder would work fine if you take your time and just clean up any uneven parts after

just use a dremel or a grinder with a cut-off wheel, la a tape line where you want it to be cut, and go slow and steady
Plasma cutter would be the wrong choice for cutting that.

plasma cutter does a better cutting job than a grinder by far!

i use a mill and just take enough material off to remove the end of the cover. a plasma cutter is a HORRIBLE way to do it. a grinder with a .040 thick cut off wheel will also do just be careful when using that thin of a cutoff wheel, if you lean on it sideways too much the cut off wheel will explode and you will most likely cut a few of your fingers. below is a b series i did. good luck
