So long story short, my uncle bought a CRX with a LSVTEC swap already in the car and the oil pump needs replacement. So what pump should he use, a GSR pump or an LS? The block is a B18A1 with a B16 head.

As you guys can tell I don't have lots of knowledge about hondas:cry: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

replace it with a gsr oil pump, becuase that will pump more oil to the head for vtec

Yeah that's what I thought, but when I checked on the autozone website it was the exact same part number then and ls pump, so that made me think twice about it. Is it really the same pump or is the crappy autozone parts labeling that's ffing up??

It depends on the year. I believe all 96 up integra oil pumps are the same?

All 96+ B-series oil pumps are the same, so it doesnt really matter.

i think 96 and up pumps are different, becuase the blocks have the crank tdc sensor on them and that sensor fits on the pump. besides this guys block is a b18a, so i would just go with a 94-95 gsr oil pump

thats a good point, but it doesn't mean the sensor has to be plugged in.
