dont forget to wash your rims first to make sure you get all the shit off the rims b4 you start sanding.

So i painted one wheel just to see how itd come out looks pretty good, did primer then the coats of white. Next question is should i use a clear coat? Everytime ive spray painted something in the past then used clear coat i thought it looked better before i clear coated it.

thoughts/input would be great

Use the clear they have for the wheel paint not just the automotive clear. It turns out pretty good.

dont necessarily have to sand. clean it real good. mask whatever you need to. painters tape. good spray paint, 2-3 even coats. time to dry in between

The sanding helps adhesion of the paint.

You want to do it right then theres a few steps to take.
painters experience.

*******if u use any kind of acid remover for paint always, absolutely treat wash it after with baking soda.it removes the acid particles that are going to keep ur new paint from ever bubbling in the future.

*******after u wet sand : always finish wet sand with 800 grit before paint.not a grit lower.this is the proper grit that allows paint to bond to the sanded surface without visibly seeing scratches up close.holds good, wont peal.

*******MAKE SURE U LEAVE NO SHINNY SPOTS WHEN U SAND>CORNERS AND ALL.u half ass it and thats where it will peal later.

*******after paint you always put a clear to protect from dirt and rock chips.otherwise u have officially wasted your time and you will see chips sooner or later.

*******if you decide clear is not for u then use real paint from an automotive paint store and use a real spray gun. don't matter if small gun.this paint bonds the best.'

******* if u want to protect your wheels you can actually buy a dull clear.flat.and there u go.but i don't recommend it as its pores are big enough to trap dust.but this way your new wheels will absolutely last.
