Hay every one, I’ve been getting lots of calls on 01 to 03 S2k’s not too many people are interested in the 04 and up. Just wondering why that is?
I know the one has the 2.0 the other 2.2 and the 9k redline vs the 8k red line. Are the 2.2 harder to tune?
Any feed back is appreciated.

2nd gen s2k produce more torque n reduce the redline to 8k for gas efficiency.

AP1s are cheaper, a little lighter, and are easier to tune and make power if compared to a 06+ AP2 due to dbw drive by wire, other than that the look is a little less aggressive than the new AP2s, wheels and tires are smaller, and suspension is a bit stiffer in the AP1. If you want all the info check out s2ki.com they are numerous comparisons that have been stickyed

Actually, I think the AP1s get a little better mileage and of course they are cheaper. I used to get close to 30mpg on the highway before I changed the gears.

Yeah but it all depends on how you drive too lol, I get about 360 to the tank in my 06 with plenty of pulls into the vtec crossover

Thanks for the info guys.

I do like the little extra torque in my 04 vs my 01 and 02 that I had, and at 70mph in 6th gear I'm under 4k rpm vs 4200 rpm in the 01-02. I also love the cup holder in the 04.

As far as the price goes, I'm selling my 04 cheaper than what I sold my other 2 and still they want 00 to 03, strange.

I never tracked the mileage, so I don't know which is better. But if you're going to be driving an S2000 I think the MPG is the last thing you should look at considering the caliber of the car.
