I start tonight. I'll be startign the 90 days of the LEAN phases. Ill post my pretest results later.
I'll be using 25 lb weights and bands and other things. Here's my before pics. i weigh 227 and 27% body fat....HERE WE GO!!!!! sorry about looking like a douche in the pics lol Lets keep the negatives to minimum, constructive criticism is ok. And tips from the fellow P90Xrs are welcomed.

Good luck bro ive been checkin back frequently and this is the first place i go you are already not that fat i started it at bout 215 and 28 per cent bf im only 5'8" though i might post pics but dunno if im ready for that yet im doing the classic has alot more lifting i think havent really compared though anyways good luck

thanks... ive done the first two days..core synergistics and cardio x...theyre ass kickers lol.
i'm also following the nutrition plan strictly! I have to eat around 3,550 cals per day. With GOOD quality food its tough to finish the meals since theyre pretty filling. but already on the second day I get hungry faster. i checked my weight tonight..its 225 but probably just water loss.... i'll keep updating.....good luck to you too!

I love it!! It crazy and hardcore but I love it! I weighed myself last night, although im not suppose to untill the 4th week. Im 222. thats a 5lb loss and i'll check my body fat tonight. Im following the meal plan STRICTLY adn i think that is the key! i highly recommend it

got it today. Ill be working out in no time. Im more of a heavy wieght lifter than cardio, but i have to do this so no more excuses. I dont understand this guide it comes with though.

Boom! just did week 2 of p90x... i weigh 218 lbs and body fat went down to 25.8. I have to admit that week two was definately tougher than the first.... ab ribber x....."i hate it, but i love it!" lol

Glad to see this thread getsome attention Yeah today is last day of week 5 first week done for phase 2. I feel great I dont follow the nutrition guide at all but I do eat only tuna and better foods i eat 5-6 small meals a day drink a cra load of water and supplementing. I think i am down to 198 from 215 bf% not sure phase 2 is harder but I can tell with ab ripper I am already stronger in my core. Good luck and if you are like me I plateaued around week 3 and almost quit but fought through it and started phase 2 and it all went away and remotivated me just keep pressing play and good luck to the others starting it too

Im still in week one. Boy, oh boy is this workout tough. I just did the yoga x last night which is day4 for me and it was harder than some of the plyometrics that took place on day 2. Its hard but in 90 days it will pay off. Just do your best and........forget the rest.

hahah.. im starting to use all the damn quotes on a daily too lol..... thats funny that you mention yoga x.. My girlfriend and I both felt like it was the hardest too! i dunno about you but my brain felt numb after. lol you'll see that week 2 is harder but you definately get better as well....good luck!

Week one was tough, but i just started week 2. I have never done a workout that makes me feel alive in the first week. I highly recommend p90x. My arms already look better, my chest feels/is stronger, my legs are stronger and my back is sore. I also picked up a recovery drink today so hopefully results will be even better. Good luck to those who have stayed focused and have not quit.

today is day 28. i finished with yogax. i feel GREAT! i felt like i have made big improvements in strength and flexibility. i weighed in at 212.0 lbs and 25.0% body fat. here are the pics.. i still look like a douche lol the pics arent that great but i notice definately my clothes fits better adn I have dropped pant size and shirts size.

i feel less stressed and more relaxed. i do get a little on edge if i dont eat enough or dont work out at my usaul time, but thats just me. im pretty tired at the end of the day but it could be because i student teach from 8:30-3:30 then work 3:30 - 8pm and workout till 9:30-or 10 an dget home arnd 10:30pm. go to sleep and do it again. But i def feel that without this workout i would be sick and not able to hang in there, i feel more durable in a sense

Wow, i see a change all around bro. I myself have made huge improvements. I do alot better at yoga than when i first started and i dont get so tired when doing plyometrics. I paid way to much for mine, i didnt even think about ebay. Ill post pics of myself when i hit the 90 days. Im only 8 days behind you, but i have alot more fat to burn than you. But to answer anyones question about it being worth it.............YES ITS WORTH IT!

got down to 210....but i'm leaving tomorrow morning for florida for a PE convention...im taking 4 workouts with me, yoga, core, cardio, and kenpo. We'll see how i do. hopefully i dnt regress too much.

Oh dang. yeah i went to prescott for the weekend and lost 2 days. It also didnt help that i ate junk food. But im back and focused now.

So ive started week 4 and wieghed myself, i feel much more energetic and i dropped another 2 pounds for a total wieght of 214.0lbs. Keep in mind i started at 226.0lbs. That means ive lost 12 total pounds in just 3 weeks. This workout is amazing.

i didnt buy the bar or recovery drink..its way too expensive. i drink 8oz of milk with one scoop of protein after each workout. its my "recovery drink". ill add ice and maybe some fruit depending on how i feel and what time of day it is

showoff^^^ so do you use the pull up bar or bands? i was using the bands up until two nights ago i picked up the bar. Much more resistance with the bar. I feel it in so many more places than the bands. I was affraid that id pull the door trim down if i used the bar, but so far its held up.

The lean phase is the hardest part because you can only eat so much since losing the fat is what is really necessary.

Can't wait for phase 2 so I can eat a little more haha

i've only used the bar. i still use the chair though. I usaully try and do as many as i can without it then use it for more reps. slowly i am able to do more and more without =)
i was scared to bring the trim down too lol

Do you burn it all on one disc or individuals? I've seen a couple where all the workouts run together and cues are messed up. I have all the books, calendars, etc available on disc too.... either way the program is worth full price. :thumbsup:

About the pull-ups, I've also been seeing progress in that I can now do a few on my own without the chair.
I'm getting excited because I'm starting to see my abs instead of a gut. woohoo...I just wanna lose the bottom portion of my stomach cus I think that's what's holding all of the progress back.

and btw ppl when u workin out tryna loose weight dont just focus on your arms, their the easiest think to build but still, u dont want huge biceps n triceps with a gyt. or small traps u look goofy lmao

when people are trying to lose weight, the arms are usually the first to show any type of change or difference. The reason is that the body develops from the center to the outward( internal organs to outter limbs) it's called proximal distal development. thus when losing weight (shrinking or losing development) it works in the opposite direction. distal to prximal.

Trust me though, P90X is far from just arms!

Sorry bout the lesson lol just had to throw something out there since the previous post seemed a little random to me.
Although, i agree that ppl who work bi's and tri's and never work legs etc do look goofy lol

I did the whole program starting the beginning of this year and I didn't loose weight because the muscle I gained it really works as long as you follow through!!!

I went and played softball tonight after doing back and legs and ab ripper, i was dead tired but still scored 3x and 2 were in the park home runs and I had a diving catch.... it's crazy. I fell better and more fit then when I was in high school playing at sunnyside, and we won state! I am never working out any other way! AND i still have one month to go!
I's funny, I teach PE at an elementary school and I have kids doing the warm up activities and some versions of modified yogax balance poses. They love it! So do my supervisors haha

im on phase 2 for one more week then phase 3. phase 2 :

1 cup life cereal with 1 cup skim milk and medium apple

1 tbspn of peanut butter with one tbspn of low fat jelly on whole wheat bread

2oz of peanuts

1 cup of strawberries

2 cups of leafy vegetables with 2 slices turkey bacon
3 slices of ham or turkey on whole wheat with mustard adn 2 slices of turkey bacon and a V8 low sodium

an orange and 1 cup of lowfat yogurt

2 cups of leafy vegetables with 3 slices of ham or turkey on whole wheat bread.
Sometimes i'll change dinner or lunch up as long as i get my carb and proteins in.

post some progress pics... last day of month two is tonight. I got yoga, although i hurt my wrist at my softball game last night, it's going to be tough doing downward dog. I'm excited to take pics though. So far I've been stuck at 210 lbs, sometimes I drop to 207 but then go back up. i think I'm either plateuing or maybe gaining muscle. I'll let the pics talk/

thats exactly whats happening to me. Ive been at 209 for like 3 weeks now and then sometimes im at 213. I also have a bad wrist from a car accident a few years ago and every time we have yoga or chest workouts my wrist starts to really hurt like hell.

i would say it depend on your body? and your goal is to lean out or to gain mass. i'm 6'1 160lbs right now. I used to be 145lbs. Right now i'm staying at 155-160ish everyday. I'm getting ready to start on phase 2. Core kicked my ass

you have to be serious about it. you have to dedicate a full 90 days..no skipping and redoing if you have to miss, also the nutrition plan is CRITICAL i.m.o ... towards the end of my 90 days was my best friends wedding, graduation, vacation and other things so it was hard to stay the course in my meals, i feel thats why I didnt get bellow 210. Nonetheless, I have had results that have far exceeded my expectatations adn I will do another cycle starting in july.... wednesdayill have before and after pics and fit test before and after

I been doing this for 4 weeks. went the Classic route. wife says i slim down, i lost 10 lbs week one and since then i been at 230.... only thing that i dont do is yoga, bad wrist so i substitute it with kenpo x or cardio (cardio mixes it up little yoga, kenpo, plyometrics and core)... i kinda got an idea on how to eat right but when i get lost i use the booklet. for the most part my diets pretty good considering my wifes pregnant lol...

To the OP, good job on the progress, looks good.

I follow the routine that it gives, its 6 out of 7 days with the option to stretch on the 7th, but Iusually just rest. If you go on beachbody.com, or p90x.com you can search for the worksheets adn print those out to record what you do every week. also there is a fit test that you can do before starting and that helps to show where you''re at and then when you finish you take it again to see the gains

You probably shouldn't because the rythme and speed he goes I feel adds to the workout, and unless you're doing the various exercises he does, I think they add to the muscle confusion theory. But its up to you. I do the workouts and play basketball and other sports ass added exercises. My girl likes to go running. And talking to other people we notice that adding extra exercises helps the results coem around faster.

He's totally trying to bone Drea in the videos. lol

TOTALLY!!! my girl and I crack up all the time. I think that they got something going on. (bf/gf or just fuck buddies)

i took a suople weeks off and started another 90 days weighing in at 215 lbs... im on week 4 and weigh 203. I think the results speek for themselves, but I love that this program has a little of everything weight training, ypa, cardio, plyos, adn even mixed martial arts.

Huge improvements! im still at it aswell. I was on and off for about two weeks, but on tuesday i started over again. Im redoing the classic, i felt like i made more progress. I started the lean phase but I felt like i wasnt getting a good workout.

For anyone who is still interested.....I started P90X in february, ive gone through two cycles and I continue to use the dvds as supplements to my weekly workout. This product has honestly changed my life. I recommend it to anyone who is ready to change. It is definitely not a walk in the park, and the meal management has been the biggest learning experience Ive ever had. I feel like I learned how to eat with this program and it is by far the most important lesson to me. If you're thinking about it, just do it!
I started off like the first pic in this page at nearly 240 lbs. I ended my 2nd cycle at 203 about 2 1/2 months ago. Currently I weigh in at around 200.

too be honest i started this after not working out due to pinching my sciatic nerve in my back...the yoga did wonders! straightened everything thing out and feel GREAT!!! probably different results for everyone though

I recommend it to everyone one too1 my brother finally started it and dropped 17 pounds the first month! He got sick ( strep throat) and hasn't worked out in a couple weeks. He'll restart when he gets better.
I still can't keep up with Tony, Its crazy that he talks through EVERY damn exercise! I still have trouble just keeping my breath lol

I still can't keep up with Tony, Its crazy that he talks through EVERY damn exercise! I still have trouble just keeping my breath lol

but its also cause he gets breaks when he shows what muscles and how to do the work out right ...

lol no homo.... thanks. all it takes is commitment and WANT. its tough but fun if you're into working out. Definitely becomes a lifestyle. Bootleg or not just get on it



I recommend it to everyone one too1 my brother finally started it and dropped 17 pounds the first month! He got sick ( strep throat) and hasn't worked out in a couple weeks. He'll restart when he gets better.

yah it could be that good if u eat healthy and do the disks as is said which means,u work out everyday besides one day which is usually a sunday..

and u actually push it not just be a little crybaby and stop and get alot of breaks.. u have to feel the burn motivate ur self to push it! even though it hurts ..

damn i need to work out ..i began to love skateboarding again so im slacking

I've don both. It depends what you like. I was tired of being in the gym and trying to come up with my own routines on top of trying others (researched others). The thing I like about p90x is that is really well put together when it comes to muscle confusion theory, rest, pace, periodization, etc. The thing I LOVE about it is that it sets the pace, adn like bb4arson said you have to do the best effort to keep up.

Personally I am not the biggest fan of running, so even when up i was to3 miles a day, it was a bitch to get up and do it...on the other hand, doing some kenpo, cardio x, core synergistics came easier and funner to me, plus i would mix in biking, weekend football, basketball etc. Just depends what you like

IMO if u are trying to loose weight do p90x forsure cause fuck i was sweating pretty quick due to that muscle confusion thing ..
and at the gym like redek said you have to make up ur own routine ..
As in when u do p90x u just see and follow instructions.
and sometimes when ur at the gym all u want to do is lift wieghts and stuff..
and in between work outs sometimes u do not get the machines u want to workout on ..



after one work out on p90x u will see why it works talk about soreness! lol

Im still on p90x and ive dropped over 30 pounds. Im stronger, faster, healther then ive ever been. I want to try p90x +, makes insanity look weak.

x2! That's awesome, congrats! I love P90x too, and I was looking at insanity a little skeptical especially cause I feel they take shots at p90x but after reading into it, its TWO very different programs.

P90X= power, strength, balance, and felxibility

Insanity= cardio, endurance, cardio, stamina, and cardio
lol I'll keep you guys posted, hopefully I can start in January.
For sure I'll be mixing these two programs

looks like some good and real progress with this..Big props to all you who have stuck with it.....

As for myself, I just started yesterday, along with my wife.. We started on the lean version, then if all goes well, go classic the second time around...So as of yesterday weighed in at 223lbs and im 5'11"...
2 days in, its does kick my ass, but im not giving up...!

ive been rocking out the p90x for a while now, good stuff the only thing that sux is tony's gay side comments but it works. you really need to stick to the diet to get shreaded up....my only problem is i cant stick with it every day but you do get results pretty quick

apples and oranges chief.....insanity is all cardio I didn't drop any weight just tightened up. I did feel more athletic and quick. especially on the field. p90x i dropped weight, became more flexible, stronger, etc. It more well rounded. Do BOTH!!!

i did lean first then classic...then i kind of just messed around with it and did other stuff for a while then jumped on insanity. Halfway through I separated my shoulder (playing football no working out) so I haven't been doing much lately =(
