I went to a place in casa grande for 6 mounths, got my yellow belt in kenpo karate
It's a good style, the same place also offers sub mission grappeling, and kick boxing, which I also took.
The place is called warriors guild.
Doubt you will want to drive out of town but here Is the number, 520 421 0705

Jeet kune do (AZJKD)
It was pretty legit when I went a few years back in 04-05... i guess they had a Jeet kune do/MMA thing going for a little bit also
Just found out looking this up that they are no longer at the Scottsdale martial arts center according to the website. :(

anyway here is the website they used to be at www.scottsdalemartialartscenter.com
and the Jeet kune do website www.azjkd.com

any muy thai anyone?

Way back in the day Fairtex used to be located out in Chandler.
I used to train until they closed and moved to Cali. I was always looking for somewhere else to train Muay thai but could never find anywhere in Phoenix that was as good.

Gracie Barra Jujitsu is over by Metro Center by the canal across from the Castles and Coasters. I went there for personal sessions last summer. It is a pretty big place with showers and changing areas which is cool if you have to go to school after or what not. They got Muay Thai, Bjj and mma.

I'm probably going to be signing up at Siege MMA on 91st and peoria. Checked that place out last week and its real nice and my trainer from Gracie Barra is over there now so...

Brazilian ju juitsu is the way to go. Then learn to throw a punch, a straight right does the trick.

Ive been doing martial arts (real martial arts not any of that shit most ppl take (if you do martial arts you know what i mean) for the last 4 years and been boxing for 6. Its good in so many different ways for you I highly recommended for everyone no matter how big or small just make sure you have a REAL instructor and find out who he has worked with and go from there!

No offense but the fights posted above were a little emberassing hahaah I deff wouldn't call that mma whatsoever..look up tko fight academy and american martial arts center both super good places for cheap..and what do you mean you take REAL training? The only fake training is if your paying to go in a ring and fight a body bag all day
