View Full Version : DIY Brass Polishing?

Ok so this isn't for a car, I have some outside brass light fixtures that have some small surface rust aslo lost the luster. They have some sort of clear coat before the brass so I need to remove this as nice as possible and then get to fine sanding and hand poishing, since some of the items are thin and fragile. Anyone got some suggestions please post them up...!

yeah, I was military I got that down but can't do anything till i get the clear off, just looking for a nice chem bath or something of that sort.. I'm searching the WWW.. Thanks!

i would not do air craft stripper.. i know that some ovens have brass in them.. try some oven cleaner.. air craft stripper might be a little harsh
