This is what my set up will be by the next time i go to the track.

d16Y8
Skunk2 Mani
68mm OBX TB
TB Spacer
Test Pipe
2.5 Full cat back exhaust - Skunk2
Greddy Turbo boosting 6lbs
front mount intercooler
Tuned P05 Ecu
no power steering
Street tires
i may have 550cc injectors, im not sure if im going to buy them yet

i dont want to hear about the time im wasting with a d series, i love my motor, if i wanted a b series i'd get one. So post up what you think i'd run.

I ran 16.8's with a pretty much stock D16Y7

I'm kinda hoping i hit low 15's maybe high 14's. one of my friends said i should have no problem breaking 14's, what do you guys think?

I think im a pretty decent driver.

I usually launch @ 4000, preload the clutch, take off the minute i see that third light come on, i typically geta .06 to .08 reaction. but since ive never raced with a turbo set up, im thinking of launching @ 3000 to help keep the wheel spin low, any tips?

If its your first time running a turbo setup at the track i would say your gonna hit the mid 15 at first! After a couple of runs you might get it to the 14s.. But if you dont know at what rpm your turbo starts spooling good and you launch at 3k your gonna have alot of turbo lag!! But GL and let us know how it goes!!

ohh, you'll know! lol

damn man, before going to the track I think you should do the following.

get a Walbro 255lph fuel pump if you plan on running those 550's.

I would still suggest getting a legitmate tune before your take your shit to the track. Even if the ecu is pretuned, your motor and set up is still different. Not to mention you have no idea what your AF's will be. How bad would it suck to melt down piston due to running way too lean the first time out at the track because your shit leaned out to a 15:1 afr?

then maybe...
pick up some arp rod bolts and head studs and up the boost and re-tune :)

btw, no one will be able to tell you what kind of numbers you'll be running with what you have listed. 6psi on a t3 is way different than 6psi on a gt30r lol

lol I had a t3/t4 and it added about 75hp to my d series at 6#. All depends on the tune though.

Just make sure you take it to the track and the car is ready for it.
Don't take it unprepared, and blow the motor.

high 14's. the only boosted d greddy i have seen hit low 14s is when the boost is turned up to about 10lbs. i would highly recommend this mod. it is alot funner

wow this has got to be some of the dumbest shit i have ever read before.......how will i know when my turbo spools.....ohhhhh my god.......thats like saying how will i know when im gonna busta nut......

and by the way pre-loading the clutch along with all your launching methods all go out the window when trying to get traction with street tires....

guessing what you will run without hp numbers does nothing.....i like d-series too....

I would really hope that this would run faster then low 15's which is slow as fuck!
like stock b16 slow.
but theres a lot of factors that play into what you'll run.
Tires,turbo size, ability, etc.

I would like to say low 14's high13's, but who the hell am I to say.

Honestly, never ask what fools think you will run. Dyno, then track, then report what happened. Guessing,or asking opinions what it will run only leads to dissapointment.........

at only 6 pounds on that crappy 15g, 15.1 will be the best of the night
