accord tranny problems

my friends has a problem with his tranny. works good and shifts fine but then when the car is wormed up tranny loses 3 gears and drive and 2 low work only what can it be changed tranny twice, both with same problems.

prolly the converter taking a shit if its an auto.

did you used the same converter on both? accord tranny break alot around 130k to 150k miles.main reason is torque converter and no service and not using honda atf.i got completly rebuild accord tranny with new torque converter for 850.00 with 1yr waranty or 11oo.00 install.

yea we used the same converter both times we changed it out. also could the ecu have anything to do with it. thanks for the tips

you should used the torque converter that be belongs to the tranny. you shouldnt switch them. is the d light flashing? anycodes?

it has 2 seperat ecu's and the one to the right is always on and the one to the left is throwing code 12

on accords the autos have their own pcm
