new guy here. sorry i prob actually don't belong here (subaru STI) but a friend on azawd recommeded checking in here. I'm throwing some EVO VIII recaros in my STI and was wondering if anyone has tips as far as the install. I know I'm gonna need 3.3 ohm resistors to take care of the airbags. Need to know how much of a PITA its gonna be and suggestions on brackets or DIY easy fabrication to make it work. thanks.

y would u want evo recaro's in a suby...

but the way i did mine is that i purchased the Vision Super low rails for the Recaro Srds... since the evo 8 seats are the same just different bolsters( U.S.A Fat asses).. I mocked them up and welded them to the rails.. they lined up perfect..


This was in a DC2

so what u could do is buy recaro rails for your car that would work on srd's and have them welded.

Buy recaro rails for an STi. Use a heat gun to break the locktite grip on the bolts, replace with new recaro rails and be happy

All recaros use the same seat bottom, afaik
