Im new to photoshop, i want to make a photo black and white but keep the shirts red, how do i do this?

Image, hue and saturation, middle saturation all the way to the left :thumbup:

ok i did that, but how do i get the shirts to stay red?

OR
make a copy of that layer
do BW on that layer
keep it underneath the colored layer and just erase from the top layer down
if that made any sense.
probably easiest explanation

if you use the brush that has like the diffused edges with the eraser tool, the edges that you erase become soft and doesnt look choppy.

or maybe it's a technique that is easy if you've done it a million times... if you're new you can't just jump in and be a whiz dude...

In lightroom you can turn off colors and just leave Red on thats the easiest way but it will allow all reds to stay. Learn to use layers its your best friend once you know how to use them...
