TT and PT use the exact same classing structure.

So if you are PTC now, then you'll be be TTC for August.

new changes for the car should have us close to 1:10s around PIR though which is a respectable PTC time.

The problem is H2 cars would be an overdog for PTD / TTD but they are outgunned in PTC / TTC.

You really can't stay true to HC but also be optimized for PT/TT. You really have to pick one class or the other and then maximize the points available doing just the mods that make the most difference...

i completely agree -- that's why i've chosen to keep my car HC legal and just do the best i can in PT. if i can get the car to run at its potential, i might be able to hang with the minis (excluding rick) enough to have a race and that's all i'm looking for. i've spent the last half of the season driving around by myself and it's become a little boring.

i'm honestly considering other platforms for upcoming seasons. i had anticipated a much bigger HC field locally and that just doesn't seem to be happening. i guess we'll just have to see who steps up! ahem <<CRAIG>> haha.

I'm coming LOL. I've made it a personal goal to be racing by the begining of next year. I'm trying to save for that hans device but stupid shit keeps getting in the way. I'll make it happen one way or another though. If kent would get rid of those junked toyotas I'd actually be able work on my car!

Tage

Those Mini's are going to be damn hard to catch... The one flaw with PT is it does not account for torque (which the Supercharged Mini's have a HUGE advantage over the Honda's). If I wanted to build the ultimate TTS car I would do a diesel engine swap. Technically the only thing I need to class my car is WHP and vehicle weight. I would get a diesel engine with 250HP and 700 ft/lbs of torque. LOL!

Craig, if the only thing you have left is a HANS, you can borrow mine if that's the only thing you're waiting on. Your neck might be thicker than mine but a quick test fit should tell us if that's a viable option. Try it on at the August event. Later!

It will. That's what size I use. When I was shopping around for them I was told that the average male, 5' 8" - 6'2" will use a M. Its true. If you walk around the paddock 85% of the HANs devices are M. 20 refers to the incline degree, which is correct for our 'sedan' cars.

I would imagine that an F20C with I/H/E/tuning would put down about 15-20 more whp than a Type-R K20A with I/H/E/tuning.

PhoenixR

at 6.5'' wide, i'd say they're too narrow for track wheels unless craig is playing with the idea of a staggered setup and running the volks on the rears.

plus wheels are a wear item -- they fatigue just like anything else! i've broken three wheels on the coupe! haha. save the baller wheels for the carshows!

yes I did. Just waiting for him to recieve the parts I sent him so I can get the other 2 wheels

Are those going to be your track wheels?
most likely not. My motegi tracklite 2.0s are definitely lighter and wider so those will probly remain the track whores. Think I'm gonna mount up my street tires on them and ditch the Rota Group N's. No more Rotas!!!

brand of wheels shouldnt matter for a track car. only sizing should make the difference. rota may be knock off but at least they are cheap and for a track car, money is everything. with tony breaking 3 wheels, that makes 4 wheels that i know of that have broken. one was broken on the car you have now. i would consider hanging onto at least one extra cheap set of wheels, especially if you are going to be racing. they might come in handy.

I'm not doggin the rotas. They are good for the price. I've never run a R comp tire on them though.

Totally agree! Sure B-Fast joints are open 24x7 but who the hell wants to meet there at 4AM? I'd rather get an extra hour of sleep and then go to breakfast at 11AM. I'm sure I'll be able to wolf down at least two rooty tooty fresh and fruity plates.

There's a Village Inn right off the freeway and Chandler if I'm not mistaken. That would be perfect IMO. If you punks help me clean up after the event, hell I might even feel generous and pick up the tab for some/most of you.

The cats out of the bag!

http://ksportusa.blogspot.com/

I was keeping my "new suspension" a secret until I could confirm that they were indeed good. The last thing I would ever want to do to a supporting sponsor is announce that I'm using their products and then people later find out I am not using them because they did not live up to my expectations. I will say that the KSports were great and performed flawlessly!

I would actually make the exception and run with them for that track....but with no timed competition its basically just a glorified HPDE. :(
Which is by no means meant to be a a knock on their club at all. Just not my cup of tea to beat on the car without a any sort of timing or competitors to play with.

Run your car un-detuned and make a side bet with Phil. ;) Both of you have Hotlap.

I'd rather save the $150 and be able to mob down to ASR with you guys (in my Civic) in October.
:bananaman:

It would be fun to run against Phil (w/ my higher HP ECU plugged in) at PIR now that my car actually works.

Congrats on the track record dude. Pretty ridiculous that you set your fast lap in the first session on an all new suspension setup!

Congrats on the track record dude. Pretty ridiculous that you set your fast lap in the first session on an all new suspension setup!

I actually think I was slightly faster in the 1st session but the timing computer wasn't configured correctly and no one in big bore got times. My fast lap was actually the 1st lap on the 1st "timed session". Ha!

This is yet more proof that while I enjoy driving, it's pointless to drive more than 1-3 laps because all I'm doing after that is tearing up the car and wearing out the consumables with nothing to show for it.

Yes, yes... Tilted Kilt FTW...

Yes, I would agree with you Gabe that even I would be willing to run with the "other club" if they had an AMB system.

BTW, what does AS use for timing their Time Attacks?

The same as the "other club" which is dBcom. However, Roger said he is going to switch to AMB sometime in the near future.
