Looking for cars to shoot for magazines......come inside.

I'm looking for cars that would like to be in magazines. To my surprise, I'm told that these cars needs to be built more for performance then show. BUT it does need to have exterior modifications. You can be a trailer queen but you better have the performance to back it up. So please keep that in mind. All those interested can PM me or reply on here. I know there are some badass cars on here but you have to take the first step...you have nothing to lose! Eventually, I'll need your mod list so please have that ready if you are interested. Thanks guys.

BTW:

NO EVO's, STI's and Z's please. (they are lined up with them for months).
NO Domestic cars unless they are heavily modified with some import flare to it
Civics and Integras have to be VERY impressive. (built motor/boost/interior done/exterior done/baller parts all over...etc)

ive got a 461whp,391wtq 92 nissan sentra and trust me its all built for performance. There is really no show about this car, although clean but not really show quality, haha BTW all work done by myself and noone else, no shops. I ran 11.3@127 on baby slicks that i used for my old setups weaker setups, slipping clutch, and traction problems due to small slicks, couldnt give it any more than 1/2 throttle 1st-3rd gear. haha

Might want to try az240sx.org. While many of them are drifters, there are a couple of RX7's, Sil80's, and 240's that I think would fit what you're looking for.

there is a guy named George that has an LS1 swapped RX7 that is fucking amazing. I'll make a post over there for you tonight and see who pops up. Also, Fueled performance would be a great shop to call. If they have any of their shop cars done then you'd have some great shit to shoot.

Craig, the current car on the cover of Modified is one of the fastest time attack EVO X out there that has never been to a car show. You built your car to run in the b16 class that rivals type R with bolt on's. There's a big gap between you two. There's no need to be mad at me. Because from the outside your car look like a bone stock EG hatch that's dropped. Compare your car to that green EG that was posted. You will know the difference.




I think it's safe to say you misread something I wrote and got really defensive quick. I never said he had to beg. When I said he would have a hard time getting in it wasnt because of his qualifications. If you would have read what I wrote, I said it was because he's already been featured before. But because the mag he was in went out of business....you never know.

The sloppy seconds reference was to how the industry works, if you've been featured before, unless you've gone through some major changes, it's very hard to be featured again in another mag. But of course you didnt know that, so you just jumped on my throat assuming I insulted the car by calling it sloppy seconds.

Unless you know someone who is in good with a particular mag, it is hard to get a car into one. I have had 4 cars out of the 1000s I have worked on get into magazines, and the only way they got in is because I know someone who is a writer for the particular mag (a muscle car mag) and they just happened to want a particular car to feature.

The magazines have a idea of what they want, and thats what they want, if your car is not that, then too bad, better luck next time, dont get butt hurt

maybe a mod could keep this thread open and delete all the BS posts keep it on topic.

I do have plans to do some cosmetics such as the tsuru front end, sunny front bumper, CF hood with an evo 8 vent, and definetly the tint done is one of the biggest. But other than that the body is staying the way it is. Maybe eventually a paint job in midnight blue

Yeah. It was all before I worked there, but my friends that work with him before I started there were telling me about it.

I'm pretty sure the Motech was installed by him. He is a electrical engineer and VP of our company.The pictures in the mag are alot differrent. Car now has a bigger motor setup, bigger turbo. He got that AIM Strata unit now where the gaugues were, bunch of shit that I don't even know. He trailored the car to texas and him and a friend tuned it.
