Went to the gym lastnight for the first time in months . last time I was at 175lb now im at 163lb..being a lazy bum and that fast food diet is paying off..seriously though how the hell does that happen? Losing muscle? Because I definitely don't feel any skinnier

I don't feel any weaker though. I was lifting the same weight lastnight as i was a few months ago ... my weight fluctuates between 168-175 but I have never dropped down this much by doing nothing lol

When i see progress, it keeps me moving.(1st pic at 115lbs) Im still a noobie, been working out for around 6 months now went up to 131 lbs. i been getting bigger over all body wise. My legs are getting bigger. Have not touch a soda in those 6 months. maybe a sugary drink once a week.. all i drink is water , water, water...for those who give a f.. Ons prework out is beast.thought i share some progress.

I think ima stop drinking whey, i ever since i started to workout. I been breaking out more often. I dont wanna stop drinking my milk tho. Fuuu |
On things like side lay raises, I've started going back more, squeezing my shoulder blades together a lot more than I used to.

Thought I'd share, I ran the Sinister nights 27k Saturday night at San Tan Regional Park.
Unknown trail+night time run and a headlamp=fun. I managed to run off trail for a few miles and finished in about 4hrs. Next up is the 54k! |

Spec, are there any other programs you recommend that are not staring strength or 5/3/1?

Not a program per-say but read up on Block Periodization.

Thanks. I was never a big fan of the low amount of repetitions with heavy weight in starting strength. Block periodization looks like the opposite of that, from skimming the article.

Block periodization looks interesting, my routines kind of follow a similar cycle.
I like all-pros over starting strength, 5x5, 5/3/1 but still go back to them for a few weeks after running allpros before I up my weights. Allpros routine |

I don't have a squat rack, so I hold a 55lb dumbell close to my upper chest and do free squats, I also do deep lunges with 25lb dumbells in both hands
feels like it is pretty effective |

I can't remember the last time I even had a protein shake. It's all whole foods now. I will add protein powder to my greek yogurt every now and then, but I'd much rather eat a steak.

I'm the same way, have only bought one tub of protein this year besides the casein I bought to make this.
It's more of a filler/low cal snack. 1 scoop of casein, skim milk and egg whites makes up all of the like 200 calories in it. Tastes like whipped cream, need to get some frozen fruit to make some flavored fluff. |
