I was a little nervous the first session with Dan, made a few mistakes.

Rode along with him in my car in DE3 and it totally brought my confidence back. I was able to see the track a lot better.

Did decent the second session. There was a bit of traffic during most of it. Didn't make as many mistakes but missed my line a few times.

I had a blast the third session. Hit my line almost the entire time. I was alone (no other cars around) for almost the whole session as well.

Tage 09-24-2007 06:01 AM

Jeremy, you only need about 229 hp to PULL on the UMS Evo on the straights. :)

ILIKETODRIVE 09-24-2007 07:23 AM

You noticed that too? ;)

BlueTeg 09-24-2007 01:54 PM

Tage: did you run TT on Sunday afternoon? How did you do?

Tage 09-24-2007 03:15 PM

I had kid duty in the morning and wasn't able to get to the track until 1pm and only had time to do 1 session so 3 just jumped out in DE3. I didn't get a transponder but my 'in car timer' said I only managed 1:10.8xx. Of course that was with a ton of traffic having to pass at least 2 'rolling roadblocks' on all my timed runs. :)

Vtecracer 09-24-2007 11:15 PM

Anyone want to help sit down, drink some beer and look over my car with me? I mean seriously analyze what it will take to get my DB out there as i have to keep it from breaking since its my DD.
Any volunteers to assist me ( ok hang out on the weekend) in changing my clutch out, i have an ACT stage II street with H/D pressure plate just sitting around and before i attempt the track it should be put in the car in place of the stock one.

I also have a swaybar lined up to be picked up on this friday for me to install this weekend ;)

BlueTeg 09-27-2007 09:37 PM

Don't worry about throwing mods at the car just yet. The car is more than capable in stock trim for a first timer. The number one excuse that we hear when guys don't come out is "oh dude I wanna go out there, but I'm waiting till I get ______________ (insert mod here) on my car." WEAKSAUCE.
By the end of the day you'll be faster in your 'stock' car than you would have been at the beginning of the day with the one last mod that you're waiting for.

Things to make sure of:
All fluids are topped off (brake, ATF or clutch, PS, oil, coolant, etc.) and not leaking
Brakes are in good shape (at least half the material left on your pads and no cracks in teh rotors)
Seat belts are in good shape
tires are in good shape (plenty of tread left, no bubbles, etc.)

Vtecracer 09-28-2007 07:39 PM

Waiting on new windshield...i am assuming that you have to have a non-cracked windshield

Just installed.... ITR rear sway bar

Want to get:

brake conversion to 11" or bigger
Rear crossmember subframe brace or lower tie bar

Oh and i need a damn helmet.... :ugh:

ILIKETODRIVE 09-28-2007 09:13 PM

I don't know about your side of town but I got mine at Helmet Harbor (Cooper/Guadalupe).

Vtecracer 09-28-2007 10:11 PM

Helmet Harbor huh? I will have to check that out... what kind of prices?

ILIKETODRIVE 09-29-2007 03:03 AM

You saw my helmet, right?

DOT and Snell approved (2005 I believe), $170 with that super cool visor. :sucker:

Kinetic 10-02-2007 02:46 PM

gabes got a good point.....

the car is ready to go as is for group 1.....

As for Tage....... I can honestly say that car is ungodly fast for what it is.........

229 or not, the set up is awesome and the driver matches

topramn 08-31-2008 02:07 PM
