any check engine lights? :autored:
|
No.

I guess replacing the rotor is essentially impossible on these motors. I busted the plastic off of the old one, but I can't get the inner metal piece off of the rod that connects to the camshaft. Stupid ass engineers.
|
you did it wrong :080:
|
Yup. Got it off, still have parts coming. Going to try and turn the cam back a tooth here soon and see if that will take care of my last problem. Really wanting to go tearing around with all 70 horses again. :autored:
|
Turned the cam gear back a notch. Needless to say, I can now happily bounce of the rev limiter. Looks like I'm taking it to work from here on out. :D

Needs more power now. xD
Brakes are next, though, and suspension. Get this thing to turn before unleashing massive power. :D Test drive last night went well and took it to work this morning. Temps are staying put and it runs great. Only took two months to get it all sorted out. If anything, I know how to get a D-series head off and getting the gasket replaced. :D :D |
|
Dude, why are you mooning people? xD
|
Im still kinda at a loss why people cut the rear bumper cover instead of taking it off. Especially when you remove the reinforcement aka bumper aka impact bar. I mean yes i see the weight savings but the risk of damage is MUCH higher as well as probably more body flex.

He's going strrrraight, body flex shouldn't be an issue.
Dont the golden eagle diffusers or others provide and adequate escape of air? |
When You are driving it on the street it's a loss of safety though and upping the chances of bending the frame rails if hit (knock on wood really hope that never happens) the only thing that bumper is doing is flapping in the wind slowing him down and making his ass twerk lol
|
Bumper doesn't move at all.. I chose to cut (rather remove) it because of the air disruption on the sides of the car.. Yes it's a very small amount, but removing it completely? Eeh not for me, I was just trying to rid the drag from catching all that air..
Car sits 90% of the time, track 6%, street 4%. |
They do, I just wanted to cut the bumper. Let's more air escape easier without disruption, weighs less lol, and was free..
|
Very true. I asked about the GE diffuser because I might do that to the DB
I like what you did with the wing and the diffuser, have any more shots of it? |
Injected gorilla glue into my steering wheel to keep it from rotating on the rim. Seems to have done the trick.
|
True^
|
chances are if any honda gets hit pretty good the car will be done for no matter what. as long as your wearing your seat belt should be fine.
|
In preparation for this weekends night event I changed the rear brakes out to fresh rotors and Hawk HP plus pads, did an oil change, and checked/torqued all suspension component bolts. Also drove it around the block for the first time in what feels like months to make sure everything was kosher and to bed the pads.
:drive: |

Whats the setup?
|
Stock y7. Lol

Took it to Arroyo Seco today.
by , on Flickr 15" steel wheels with some Hancook 195x50x15 on them. Have confirmation from my friend that I had wheel lift in the turns even with my sloppy, body rolling suspension. :O Also did super laps / time attack to just see where I stood. Ended up not doing it. Needs a clutch, and will get a lighter flywheel when that happens. |
Washed it. Bought some splash guards, an oem accessory steering wheel cover, and some misc sunroof parts from majestic Honda. I'm interested to see how the steering wheel cover turns out.
Edit: majestic no longer has the steering wheel cover so I ordered a Mr. Steering leather cover. |
Installed a gt500 hood vent in hopes to run cooler on the track.
|
Wow, that looks right at home on there!
