what did you end up finding out about the tranny?

i took it down to tsr and had aaron drive it and he found the 6th gear....so iv been told that the transmission probably has the 6th gear stack from a acura tsx installed.....when ever u have time come by check it out

I think you misunderstood what I said, all he has is an intake, I'd talk to Joe before I'd pull the trigger with Kpro and tuning with JUST a stock engine and an intake.
You have more than few bolt ons, obviously Kpro fits your puzzle. |

he has a type r swap which dosen't need your average bolt-ons.

lol let me know when you want to stop by...but yes driving on the freeway is much more pleasant now then being stuck in 5th btw the car has excellent compression so its nice and healthy lol

I didn't misunderstand. Joe can give that car an aggressive tune and still have gains. not to mention Kpro will open up many more possibilities for him.. as for me, i/h/e = boltons. You are correct in the I needed Kpro more so because I have the k20a3 and in order to change the intake mani you need kpro... also Kpro came in handy when I needed to calibrate my TPS hehe |

so, you guys are saying that the JDM K20A is under tuned from the factory? and even though he has only an intake he is going to see substantial gains? I realize tuning is key but I would think that you'd want to wait until you had more bolt ons to go tune or, are you guys simply doing base tune swaps between users?

I highly doubt that joe would not be able to squeeze out more power @ the wheels than a stock type-r map. Would I personally prefer to wait until I had some better bolt ons? Yes, absolutely, but if he isn't planning on spending 600 on a header, another 500 for upgraded intake mani/tb/adapter, and however much a good exhaust costs, then may as well squeeze out every last pony possible in it's current status, since that's only 400... |
absolutely not lol and im not looking for major gains just looking for a good running daily drive with a little bit more umpff when i need it

We were at the mountain on the way to lake bartlet.
I passed joe on the outside, then started climbing the hill we were coming up to. I caught air over the crest, the rear end slid out in the air, I couldn't correct when landed, the back end dipped into a ditch and kept sliding in the ditch until I hit a bump where a road intersects the road I was on. Hit that bump, and I think I fipped in he air over, landed on my roof in the side of the mountain in a tree |
that is nuts dude ...its all joe's fault next time u see him kick him in his nads lol but seriously that sucks atleast you came out of it alright... it could have been alot worse from the sound of it
