im thinking about selling my recaros and getting k pro installed..do you guys think its worth it? also how much of a hp gain should i expect to see ?

k pro is worth every penny, I loved it in my kswap. with out getting tuned and running a stock map maybe 3-15hp but the car will drive better and you can always change things move vtec to a high rpm for hiway use all that kinda of crap.

i deffintly want to get it tuned after i get it installed....iv read nothing but good reviews about kpro...another question where should i buy it from club rsx or from joe at locash?

It will provide you more happiness and flexibility with your car instead of some seats.

You can make all kinds of adjustments to your ride ranging from Idle, vtec window, launch control, check error codes, data log, pass emissions every time..not to mention you can get Joe at Locash to tune it..

its worth every cent...plus Joe always helps his customers even after the tune is done. Also, you can save your tune to a thumbdrive or email and never lose it :)

I got incredible gains after my tune with him on the Base...you should expect more with your k20a engine :)

But mine is less than 2 months old, bought it from joe. Comes with everything he gave me. It's the newest version with the optional 8 5v inputs w/ jumper.

IMO, If I had a k20a longblock with a K20a ecu running a ep3 transmission I would rather upgrade to a Type-s or Type-R transmission over Kpro first then get Kpro. Gearing in the 5speed sucks especially since the car is all motor. As you can see after he said he has a 6sp now I suggested going to your shop for the new ecu/tune.

Actually, for quicker acceleration, the EP3 5 speed trans is significantly better than the Type S.. It has a 4.7 final drive and a shorter gearset.. :)

depends on which type-s right?

the 02-04 has a 4.3 FD and the 05-06 has the 4.7

Idles rough where the steering wheel looks like its having a seizure lol the rpms dont jump or anything but it just idles really rough especially when the ac compressor kicks on

Check engine mounts

it has hasport mounts all the way around....sometimes it will idle smooth so i dont think its the mounts

I've kind of been put off by the price though since I'm in an 06 type S. Wouldn't I need an 02-04 ecu AND kpro to get it all working?

my buddy has it on arizonarsx...along with some other stuff for your year RSX...i'd look into it.. you could probably drive that price down a little.

Well, hasport mounts do vibrate the dick out of everything. If it's especially worse with AC, perhaps the compressor is going bad. Put a pressure gauge on it, and see if it's in spec.

idk it idles decent when the ac is off but when the compressor kicks on it idles really rough... just curious are you going to the rsx meet? ^

1. If the idle is higher, the vibration may be significantly minimized, making you happier.. :)

2. I just realized that the Type S trans had shorter gearing. My mistake
