Attention: WHPMP track management has informed us that our next event weekend is on the same weekend as the Lucas Oil Off Road & Drag Boats finals. As a result, we are no longer able to host our event on the East track and as a result have been moved to the West track. We apologize for this change but due to safety reasons were not given an option to maintain our event as planned. As always, please follow the event thread on the NASA AZ forum for the latest details @

Bummer, was hoping to drive on a different track.
|

ATTENTION: NASA AZ has confirmed this event to be run in the CW configuration! We typically run WHPMP West in the CCW configuration but with the change of venues, we have requested this new feature and will be bringing it to you first! Come experience this as it could be a once in a lifetime event.
|

Just one still. Until we get a crv then i can abuse the dori a lil more lol
|
Thx for the advice Gabe! I'd definitely love to do Time Attack
Don't know how well that'll work with the track being a different configuration. Either way the new configuration should be fun. |
It's not until Sunday so you would conceivably have 6-7 sessions in on that new configuration already just from that weekend.
Do it. You'll have a great time. guaranteed :clapper: |
Agreed ^^^^^
|
Might make it out still all though i won't have my track tires :( just some all season balloon tires. Better than a no go i guess

big shout out to Carlos for cutting session 3 short and taking me to Acura of tempe to get my crank pulley bolt, Gabe for running around helping find tools and info, and (Eric? ) from ksport for the info on how to hold the crank without the tool... i missed session 3 but made it back out in time for most of session 4! it was a great time. when i came off the track from session 4 i was super stoked, it just felt awesome. i wanted to go out for another run .
|
Lets see those vids Aaron, twas a great time- good idea to run cw. Looking foward to passing sound st amp. How does one hold the crank w-out the pully?
My fastest lap here |
My fastest time ( referring to video in the same fashion as my last times out) 1:15. On ccw my fastest time was 1:16(if I remeber right) also had track tires back then. As far as getting the crank pulley torqued we put it in 5th and held the brake.
I dont know why the video came out so shitty. Session 2 came out AWESOME. But thats the session I ran with a lose pulley. https://youtu.be/BhO6_RU3NqY |
Aaron good lines b, I have to get that down a bit better. A cool move shot from Inde trying to catch Rob, (that red m3) in de2 with us

Ya, greasy after the pros ran race groups, back tires were a bit high on pressure, a dog peed on the track right there-yada,yada.. Thank good no one t boned me, but the inde track was definitely a higher learning curve. I think I did good at the time but review the footage and want to throw up at my driving. It's too bad that inde might not be in the works next year for nasa but we'll see.

If you liked INDE, give Chuckwalla a try next February.
I think it's alot more fun, IMHO. Depending on the direction we run it in, it has a fairly steep hill and "bowl" complex. In CW direction you get to the end of the back straight and throw the car over the edge of a blind corner as you descend downhill, once the car gets settled you're WOT for a 2 or 3 seconds and then setup for the bowl. The bowl is a huge 180 degree banked corner, you start out with a moderate throttle position and let the banking keep you tucked inside as you get to the end of the bowl the track starts to level out and the inertia will pull out towards track out and you put the pedal down come out of there hauling ass. In the CCW direction, it's just the opposite, you get your braking done and get setup for the bowl. Then you start to add more and more power as you go through the bowl, at the exit the bowl shoots you out and you're WOT as you bomb up the hill (blind apex) and crest it and then continue on down the back straight away. |
Slow down your getting me hot.., I wanna do every track day now but the lady is getting pissed. That isn't actually that far away- I try to make it happen.

It's pretty much the same travel time to CVR as it is to INDE unless you live in the far west side (Surprise/Buckeye, or Queen Creek)
|
That track day actually falls on Valentine's day weekend. Treat your lady to a classy dinner in Blythe!! :lama::cownana::clap::tits:

I'm usually pretty quiet on these forums (my post count kinda proves that), but I just wanted to give a shout out to the guys who helped change my radiator on Saturday.
I think next HPDE I do, I might have to spring for both days. And buy some new pads because the stock ones held up with the Motul fluid, but the pedal has been super squishy since haha. |
I was wondering I f you were on this forum, anyway, it's always awesome when people are willing to help. Did you have to miss a session or was it changed out in time?
Also did you advance to DE2? |
