barroom hero 07-14-2007 09:39 PM

just lowerd on skunk 2 springs

Big C 07-15-2007 11:51 AM

Man these cars have so much room to work with its not even funny. When I found out the dude put 18x8.5s with 255/35/18s on it when it was lowered and it did't rub I about shit my pants. Thats almost some 240 rwd fitment right there on a fwd honda.

Smoot 07-16-2007 12:24 PM

Im think about getting some wheels that are 16x7 +19 offset. think they will fit?

Big C 07-17-2007 01:39 AM

I think so.

Smoot 07-17-2007 01:43 AM

yea I was going to get them, but the dood sold them. :pissed: almost got some cp-rs

Honda_Sux 07-17-2007 06:59 AM

whats an offset? im stupid

Big C 07-17-2007 09:23 AM

I'd probably rock a 8" wide at least on that car.

Smoot 07-17-2007 11:30 AM

basically how far the wheel sticks out from the lugs

Smoot 07-17-2007 11:30 AM

hope to get a lil somtin sometin this weekend.

I want some proof of this!

I am aiming for 245/40/17 Dunlop Starspecs on Enkie RPF1 17x8.5 +40s or work XD9s +42 offset.

As far as what I have seen/heard, the safest (wide) fitment on a FG2 with stock struts and lowered on drop springs is a 17x8 +40 with 235s. no rolling of fenders and can turn full lock.

Wheel calc shows the diff >

EPthree04 10-10-2008 08:34 AM

i wish my ep3 had inner fenders like this! i could get away with soooooo much

berny2435 06-20-2009 09:32 PM

Forgot I posted on here. Well, I bought the 17x8.5 +40 Enkei RPF1s and I'm running the ultra wide 245/40/17 dunlop star specs. 2.5 deg camber front and rear. Required to roll rear fenders, fronts are fine. Lowered about 2" with Progress springs also requires cutting the lip on the rear bumper towards the tabs. There are two pcs of sheet metal that hangs down near that same location and that needs bent a little so the top of the tire doesn't hit it over large bumps and dips. If you go too fast over bumps and what not, you will hit the rear bump stops with progress springs. If you cut the bump stops, the rubbing might get worse and of course, that sheet metal tab will have to be cut down instead of just bent a little.

18x8.5 +35 offset with 235/40 tires had barely any clearance in the rear no prob wit the front

and i tried to run sum 18x9 +28 offset with 225/40 tires and that was a fail unless u have a camber kit to get a lil more negative camber in the rear

riiiiic 09-02-2011 07:59 PM

these fitments need to be updated .. haha i know there's more aggressive fitments.

Bikers21 09-04-2011 08:12 PM

Awesome very nice...great find that dude!

FranktheTank 09-05-2011 01:23 AM

My brother has 17x9 +25 215/45 tires . Lowered on skunk2 pro s. Front fenders rolled, rears are shaved.
Camber kit is needed for the rear if the suspension is lowered all the way. fronts don't rub at all

8 g3n SI az 12-11-2011 04:04 AM

7.5 wide
