DIY tire shine
I had a friend years ago who detailed and would make his own 'armour all'....
Anyone have any insight on a DIY tire shine/dressing? |
Coca cola, and pledge. Hahah never tried it but hear it's like meguars hot shine.
coca cola? I thought it was pretty acidic i mean if its comparable to a car batteries acid, wouldn't it damage the tire?
I know! And that's what we consume, I actually tried it today and I have got to tell you it shines( due to your information about the acid I only did one) is it really that bad?
Do you know what kind of pledge?
It's the oil kind but the spray should work too. I'll take pictures of the mess lol.
hmm. i'm going to try these out. if i remember correctly he used a combo of hair conditioner and baby oil.
Woah baby oil is very slick apply with caution.
if ur gonna waste your money on pledge, coca cola, baby oil, and hair conditioner, might as well get a real tire shine.. just sayin'
Exactly what I was thinking.
I have also read just buy a big bottle of canola oil, wipe it on a rag and wipe on tire. If you feel tire shine's consistancy it feels the same as an oil, so try some out on a tire and see if it works.
Ok ha household items.............
i was just thinking if i can produce a large volume of it with less than $10 of household items than why not. but if i have to buy 2 liter of coke every week, than forget it.
coke contains more phosphoric acid then a car battery google it.
Spit shine. |
Good ol spit shine haha ala natural.
orrrrr you could just buy something intended for that?
303 aerospace protectant |
