Questions about using pm7 pistons in D15B8
 

I was wondering if this is possible??? Would I need to use 2 gaskets?? advance or retard the timing?? Yes using the PM7 pistons, D15B8 block and the D15b8 rods. :thumbup:

depends on the head really, i assume 16v head? with a b8 bottom end and an a6 or b7 head the compression is only 10:1 with a y8 gasket *thin gasket* ...

so shouldn't really be a problem at all, my mini me is 10.1:1 and i just put high octane in it for good measure.

the b8 block is a b7 block... there isn't a difference between anything on the bottom end except the pistsons, but if you're swapping those then you essentially have a b7 block.

the b7 head is crap only 8v so I am planning on using a 16v pm3-4 head (d15b2). would I still need a thin gasket? or would the stock gasket do??

the b7 head is the same as an a6 head, 16v maybe you meant the b8 head... i'd go with a b7 head it flows better than the b2 head... you don't need a thin gasket, the thin gasket is just going to raise your compression, with a stock graphite composite you'd be at like 9,73:1 .. i prefer the y8's MLS gasket, and last time i bought one at a dealer it was 27 dollars.

yes you are right I meant the b8 head was crap sorry kewl I can use my spare PM7 pistons!!!! yay!!
