Please Help A/C question!!!!!!!

Alright guys so I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct section or not. I have a 98 civic coupe with a GSR swap in it and I just recently started to put the a/c parts into my car. I used civic everything but the b20 bracket and everything seems to fit correctly...

okay on to the problem, The ac clutch is not activating, so I check for power in the single wire clip that goes to it and it is acting as a ground, I'm not sure if there is supposed to be power going to that red wire or not... second when the car is turned off the ground wire that I have grounded to the frame of the car for the ac is cool, but when I turn on the car the end of it where it touches the frame gets super hot (and no it is not the heat from the motor because the motor has not even gotten hot yet)... I checked the ecu and the power coming for it using the honda manual and everything seems good, so if any of this makes sense lol can somebody please give me their best effort in helping me i would really appreciate it. Thanks

Just to make sure that you have the system filled. If there isn't the right pressure then the compressor will not kick on.

Have you checked what the voltage is on the wire you say that is grounded but gets hot? Pull the wire and check it for voltage. If there is power going through the wire and it is going directly chassis ground then you definately have fire waiting to happen.

that wire that goes to the compressor is power positive

you should have no power at the compressor coil wire with ac off and 12 volts with ac button pushed on. ground comes from the compressor case attachment to the engine bracket and thru normal ground path that way.
