My other Prelude
1991 Honda Prelude SI light blue B20a5 with 32k original miles OBD 0 but will have the OBD 1 chipped PR4 in soon. Car is literally mint. This one is a 5 speed with stock clutch and fly. Pacesetter headers on it. Webcamshafts and Skunk 2 cam gears cold air intake using Weapon R Dragon filter Battery also relocated to trunk Gladman strut bars front and rear. Stock everything else. Besides 89 front bumper. Hella H4 HID's Thats all for now. B16 vtec hybrid will be done to this one soon. |

If you had a turbo 3g, would I be the only one to think the 89 front bumper looks better with the intercooler sitting behind it? I will see if I can find some pictures and we will vote. :)

the 89 front with a turbo is the best i love the 90 91 rears but the 89 front is so much smother and i like the corner lights

I know her. Red89ludesi. Big tits! Of course the 88-89 front bumper is the best. Thats why I swapped the bumper on my 91.

Yea thats her. I have known her for a while since absoluteprelude.com started, her car is pretty sick. Anyway, I agree the 89 front is killer with an intercooler behind it, almost looks like a 94 up teg. The only thing I like about the 90-91 front is the fog lights, they are actually usefull. With out them its kinda hard to see at night.

Dude what happened to your lip? Its all chewed up. Get a front lip to cover that. It will look sexy;)

Well, I tend to drive my lude like I stole it and needless to say I am not very gentle with it. That is what the lip (90 teg) looked like when it pulled away from the screw holding it in. I have since fixed it but still needs painted.

that 2nd car is chris nls car, i am working on a 90 -91 fogs in a 89 bumber they fit just need a little fab to the bracket and ur in like flint

3g prelude
i have a stock 1989 prelude si. it is light blue. in phx,az. i need a motor.. bought the car with blown timing belt. pulled motor out and just waiting to find a motor i can put in. i have heard to put a h22 in but i just am going to go with the b20a or the b20a5. if anyone has an answer where i can get a motor pls assist. need to get it on the road. thx chris

Typically all import junk yards will have a motor for you. Make some phone calls and ask if they have any 88-91 preludes.

Well I changed my setup just a couple of weeks ago. I decided to try a big 16g turbo.
Twin scroll so it should improve quite a bit. That Turbonetics turbo I had on it was going on the 5 speed Prelude anyway. Still nice and very fast if i could turn up the boost! I was aiming to dethrone Tonybaker but I need to really bullet proof the tranny. |
Nice the big 16g. If you wanna really get crazy hit up the FP green. Well I finally upgraded to the TDo4. The lude is currently under the knife getting all new syncros, main bearings and type r lsd. Soon It will be here for me to ream on. I wanted to comp with Tony too for a long time. I recently decided I like driving my car more than l like working on it. LOL! So I am happy with my 20 psi 300ish Whp. It handles like no other and scoots faster than the majority of the cars on the road, so I am happy.

What LSD are you using? I came across a great deal for one but not sure if its too much work to fit it in the tranny.
