Del Sol: Code 4 Crank Position sensor, cause bogging and backfire?
Hello fellas need some help to resolve a problem, I have a 94 Del sol with a 95 GSR Lsv and just out of nowhere yesterday it after I got alignment and started the car, it started to bog and backfire when hitting the gas. Checked engine code threw code 4 which is the crank position sensor, and I know on obd1 it's in the distributor, but I was wondering if it would actually make it start to bog and backfire when hitting the gas. Thanks for the help.

Np, anything that controls timing can cause all sorts of 'symptoms'.

Yeah I'll keep that to mind thanks for the quick reply. Hopefully it's just that and a quick fix.

Well, got some bad news replacing the dizzy did not work. It is still bogging out once i hit 3500rpm while driving it will bog that I won't be able to accelerate past that. When I check the check engine it is still throwing the same code. So I have no idea what it can be.

I am assuming its a NEW dizzy or is it KNOWN to be good?
