how do you take the climet control out of a 98 coupe? is it hard? and will the 99 00 blot right up wit no problem? ac plugs same or different?

any help???

To take it out is easy but you can't just put in the 99-00.... you have to pull the dash and replace everything that has to do with your ac and heat. This is do to the fact that the 99-00 climate controls are electronic and the 96-98 are cable. Hope this helps somewhat. If not, search your question on HT and they have that DIY.

to pull the climate control if it is the first time most likely it will have all the factory bolts. pull the center console, glove box and under dash piece under the steering wheel. just look around and you will see the bolts that hold it down. then just pull LIGHTLY (they brake easy so be careful) on the climate and it just un clips. there is enough slack on the clips to where it will let you pull it out enough to unclip everything from the back.

99-00 fits but is not a plug n play u have to change heater core ac and that jazz... my advice, by a 99-00 civic unless you has the money to pay RC to do it
