Better than spending money on drugs and videogames

goose6453 01-26-2011 09:32 PM

Lol wow I guess your right lol lol

91cb7 01-26-2011 10:40 PM

Not 2 shabby! go for it bro, Make ur custom Goosesport motor mounts....lol

FITGUYGE8 01-26-2011 10:40 PM

Guys on az240sx.org have done this... It works... Of course using OEM mounts w/ Energy Suspension bushings or full trick mounts (like HASsport) are better, but if you don't got that baller cash flow going for you this is actually better than stock...

...and I don't know about you but good chronic and video games are the cats pajamas!!!

6thgen 01-26-2011 11:06 PM

yeah it works for the torque mounts but i really wouldnt recommend it for the other mounts dude.

goose6453 01-27-2011 12:03 AM

Fuck it I like the name

That is the cats pajamas

Wait what .... what mount is that. Then

Shorty 01-27-2011 06:17 AM

Good idead there let me know how it works out.

hatch520 01-27-2011 03:35 PM

imma probly try this on my ride see how it comes out

goose6453 01-27-2011 05:05 PM

yeah dude i gues its like a straight solid mount so it sounds cool right lo

Daddy_Digital 01-27-2011 08:20 PM

im all over this. fuck spending hundreds of dollars on mounts when all u can do is inject some silicone in the mount and ur good to go. good find goose!

this can be done without taking the torque mounts out right?

goose6453 01-28-2011 09:37 AM

That's what I'm saying but this should be so bad ass

projectaccord 01-28-2011 02:25 PM

i ran across another write up for this a while back on d-series.org(?) the guy did ALL of his mounts and said it made a worthwhile improvement. you can use different sealants too depending on the "stiffness" your looking for too.

Daddy_Digital 02-01-2011 08:39 PM

the million dollar question..

CAN THIS BE DONE WITHOUT REMOVING THE MOUNTS? just curious..

SlowCivicHmm 02-05-2011 04:15 AM

I'd remove em so that there is no flex in them...

a trick to this is oven baking the parts after the stuff sets........250* for 20 mins...

MAKE SURE TO TAKE ALL THE AIR BUBBLES OUT!!!!!!!!!!

Making these right is a messy process....but worth it.....had it on the race car........sold it a while ago.....

Am thinking making more to sell....I have like 100 tubes of INDUSTRIAL CAULK for ROOFING!!!

I now rock Hasport since I needed a "custom" tranny mount and I'm OCD and my engine mount has to match....LOL

auex 02-05-2011 08:55 AM

You should definately take the mount out to do this correctly

goose6453 02-06-2011 01:24 PM

lol no dude lol

like witch ones

must be nice

yes x2

bb4arson 02-06-2011 11:49 PM

i have some fairly new prelude stock mounts .. i might do it on them and than sell them as "high performance mounts"

Daddy_Digital 02-08-2011 08:29 PM

is there a DIY where is shows how to take the mounts off or can someone gimme a step by how to? im interested in doing this but ive never taken mounts off. i have the caulking and caulking gun already.

SlowCivicHmm 02-08-2011 08:36 PM

Un Bolt 1 mount At a time and let dry for 24hrs then bake for 20mins......

Re install mount....repeat with next...

Unless you have extra mounts

Daddy_Digital 02-08-2011 08:41 PM

these are just the torque mounts that are being taken off right? i took a look and so far i saw 2. my torque need some TLC. do i have to lift the engine or anything? sorry for the noob questions..just wanna do this right.

SlowCivicHmm 02-08-2011 09:40 PM

you can do this to just about any mount on the engine...

if the other 3 upper mounts...you can unbolt both torque mounts without any issue or having to hold up the engine......

they'll be some play, but not much...1/4in?? if that...

Daddy_Digital 02-08-2011 10:27 PM

ok cool. when i have sometime ill do this.

tyrap26 02-09-2011 11:25 PM

i like..

eg2/gsr 02-11-2011 12:21 PM

goose6453 02-11-2011 12:31 PM

How did rip them ... did u use the right window cocking .... what did u use ....

eg2/gsr 02-11-2011 12:37 PM
