need some assistance if possible
 

So i think i need to send in my D300S..
ive kept it out in my car a few times so idk if thats the issue but the camera freezes sometimes when im shooting a shot and it says ERROR on the top menu screen..
functions fairly decent and just isnt the same..
was wondering where i could send it to to get checked out and repaired if needed

Tempe Camera possibly? prolly wont be cheap though

What error is it? A lot of things can be fixed on your own.

idk, itdoesnt say what error it is?
it just freezes up when i shoot and then it says error. and then it is fine..
but it has been doing it more often lately..

Tried a different memory card?

Could be what Paul said or if you have tried a new firmware/updated firmware could also be an issue.
Small troubleshooting options would be like to take out the battery and put it back in or to make sure its fully charged.

Just small ideas.

but would it also affect certain things like ISO and shutterspeed?
lets say.. im adjusting the iso to 1250 and setting the shutterspeed to 1/250.
sometimes, it'll go back to whatever setting it was before and then id have to change it again.

Try resetting the camera. If you get really frustrated... pm me. I'l buy it off ya :)

Have you tried a different lens? Don't know if that could be a problem too, or if its just the body

Arizona Camera Works at Arizona Ave/Elliot Rd in Chandler is a great place also. One guy I've talked with has been doing camera repair for like 30years. Cheaper than Tempe Camera also.

Yes I have one of my friends works over there. They do all the West Coast repair for Ritz camera.

CRIS has done the Ritz repair for something like 20 years at least on the west coast.

as for your problem; have you tried removing the battery and replacing? how about resetting the camera with the hard reset function?
