Does any1 know how much I cost for a full k swap in a eg. And which k motor should I go with?.

Keeping the motor stock, and a budget isn't too much a problem, Get the K24 from a TSX or jdm K20a with typeR trans
Gonna boost a relatively stock motor, I"D say(and anyone that wants can disagree), K20A or K20Z
Gonna BUILT for all motor, get a k24 block with k20 head.

If you buy everything brand new, parts alone can easily add up to over 4 grand +
Then add costs of motor/tranny/Kpro and can be anywhere from another 2-7thousand.

But if you do a lot of searching around everywhere, buying people trying to go K's and changing their minds, you can eventually find the parts for a good deal.

buying everything brand new retail,plus labor, a couple of bolt on's 7 to 10 grand is about right... but o well...

8k + if you buy all new shit and top of the line. or you can go the azht way for 4k + with shitty parts.

yea if you shop around and mostly if you dont buy a jdm motor and just find a wrecked car at a junk yard or a yard that pulls motors out thats the way to go

dude take your time on the parts scrounging and do all the work minus machine work yourself and you could have a sick setup tuned and beating streets for 8k

you can go cheap and tourqee a k24 out of a newer CVR and swap the head maybe to a k20 from the type S :google:

The word "cheap" and k24/k20 dont go together buddy.... you cant just slam a head on and call it done, you need to replace the pistons, rods, and oil pump

Your better off getting the tsx motor... it has the same head as a k20...

I got a K20a3 with tranny if your interested, I change my mind on doing the kswap, I really don't have much time in my hands to even plan on it.

plus at a show they all look alike (kinda)
plus the a3 in a older honda (none ep3) would still be quick.
also a3 with lil mods would be fun.
