What up daniel! you should post pics of that uber sweet billet compressor piece :)
|
Hi Daniel. I'm Aaron. First off id like to say glad to see another fab thread.
As far as the turbo placement, my ? to you is: Will the intercooler be offset due to where the turbo sits? |
def. good to see some more fab. work on here. welcome!
|
beautiful
|
Daniel comes down to the shop a lot for cnc stuff, and if i remember correctly they were doing a water to air setup... i could be wrong though.
|
i think it looks like complete poop and i miss seeing your pretty face.
:) |
Hey guys, thanks for the welcome.
@ brad, whats good boss? prob will see you guys tomorrow lol... @ Aaron, We initially were going to use and big garrett core (12x24x4) however it was too long and the ic routing looked funny to us, so we decided to go with (18x12x4 1/2) which seems to fit amazingly straight, feeding direct from turbo and a backdoor style to the throttle body. however if it doesnt function well enough I guess water/air here we come lol @ Ricks Towing, Thanks boss. Ive seen your work and its very nice! @ Mr Taggart, The feeling is mutual, cant believe you just left me without saying goodbye! LoL...Whats up Josh, how you doing bro? |
In for more pics.

|
Absolutely, pm your phone number bro.
Thanks |
more work
|
Nice Sr20 build!
One question. Why not opt for the divided EFR turbo? |
looks great!
|
Thanks boss, the 62/58 only comes in the t2 flanged hot side and it's Soo small there would be no benefit to a twin scroll in this size anyway. However the larger efr"s we have on order definitely are twin scroll units.
|
prep looks great so do the welds!
mike |
Ah I see
The 62/58 is not that small though, 450hp turbo, Thats like saying a Garrett divided 3071 is too small to work well. Shoot, I would love a divided 62/55... |
Maybe I just feel that way because the twin scroll option is not there :)
By the way, you do some Awsome work man! |
nice work man. you can work on my sr anytime lol
|
Divided or not i'm sure your setup will rip, those EFR's have some cool technology! Manifold and everything looks really clean and well executed. Thanks for the compliment, I was really lucky to have learned from some of the best round here. Really cool to see another fab thread though, more pix of the front mount civic!
|
PPSSHHHTTTT, double posting noob. ;) Seriously though, beautiful work, and welcome to the forum! Be ready for post whoring and shit talking, but those of us who actually build our own cars and know what good work looks like will recognize it when we see it, like we do hurrrr! |
Nice work! What filler rod size was used on that collector? I always end up with alot of little dips when I do my collectors, but I'm still learning different ways till I find what I like best.
|
Hey stranger!! give me a call
|
Call? Have him come by the shop so we can grill up some carne asada
|
Nice can't wait to go boost junkys..
|
Wow I haven't been on here in ages it seems! Lol
Been crazy busy here at the shop! @ to4powered I use 3/32 tungsten and 1/16 filler rod on the collectors. With collectors it's all about hand positioning. If your welding comfortable then your all good. @ shorty and Aaron, we need to have a conference call soon! We need to figure out the carne asada very very soon! |
We needs more pics. Great work
