So you just threw HID bulbs in the stock housings? Pics of light pattern?
|
nice !!! i like the front end, if you don't mind me asking where can i get one for my car ??
and.... Stock what do you mean by light pattern??? does it give a different look then the usdm kind?? |
HID bulbs are designed for use with projectors and cut off shields. THey focus the light and give it the sharp cut off that you see from OEM HID equipped cars.
Throwing an HID setup into a standard halogen housing is going to throw the light all over the road just like it does with regular halogen bulbs, but HIDs are way brighter, so you just end up blinding people. And a lot of times they provide LESS usable light than your stock setup because the light emitting part of the HID bulb might stick out too far or be too recessed in the halogen housing... |
your right...
thats exactly what im doing... blinding ppl.. lol.... no but its way better than my stock lights.... they fit right in... it was just play and plug... but i dont know about jumping all over the place... |
well you can try...
passwordjdm honda-tech uummm.. i got mine from my connects... |
i love this car man nice work reminds me of my 90 si ef gl bro
|
Niceeeee
|
but isn't that why you should adjust the beam lower so you don't blind people, cuz i did that to mine nad people don't seem to high beam me anymore..lol
and as far as the light output i personally think that it is better than the stock halogens but that is just my .02 cents now lets get :offtopic2: |
damn clean ef. i'm jealous now. i wanted to do that but it was ganna take awhile. but looks nice. keep up the good work and good luck with your project
|
Do an HID projector retrofit and tell me it doesn't make a night and day difference. I'm not saying HID bulbs in halogen housings won't work and "look" better than stock, but just that it isn't an ideal setup and while it's cheaper than a retrofit, it'll never be as good and there will always be stray light.
:hello: |
looking good man...i even like it with the dr20's. if you want to let them go lmk
|
yeepppyy..
