Header

Has anyone bought an after market header that doesnt hang too low?

Most 4-2-1 type headers sit high and tight.

so for what engine, what car, what type of header?

4-1 don't sit too low, your car probably sits too low. But yes 4-2-1 are tucked higher becaue it's only the y-pipe under the oil pan not the entire 4 pipes into the collector.

B series and I have 4 2 1 tri in the hatch and I had to raise the car

is it on the hanger? brand? some off brands are built very well and may sit lower than you may want. I had a b16 4dr ef i swapped. some chepo 4-2-1 headers were always scrapping and the car wasnt super low. i put on i think some D/C brand and they fit better. just my .02 and my exp. maybe im wrong.\

How low is the car? pics?

forgot the name but they look very well done and hangers won't matter since scraps where it goes under the car

consequence of being low is that performance parts will scrape on shitty roads or speed bumps. get a k-series.

nerdskateful 11-21-2013 08:57 PM

Yeah that's true. I guess I'll keep it at the height it's at now and I was seriously going to go k but my engine is still good. thanks for the help and advice

yeah it's an unfortunate design under the oil pan and such you could always just go all motor and side dump it lol
