Diesel oil for your Honda??
 

Was walking through the Pavs last Weekend and i saw a Kid putting Diesel Oil in his Honda?
Can anyone explain why??

It's posted in the classifieds, keep making more useless posts and you'll see it there

detergents my nigga.... was the kids car turbo'd or an h-series? diesel oils (in most cases) have more additives like phosphorous and zinc... either way conventional motor oil is superior, if you want additives buy a designer motor oil my friend preaches about Penngrade1

I run Rotella 15w-40 in my boosted F22. I use it for the detergents cuz it keeps my engine squeaky clean inside, also I figure if a turbo diesel can run it for miles on end I should be able to also.

People used to run it because it had added zinc which protects our non roller rocker arms better then standard oil with all the zinc removed. Now all off the shelf oils have the zinc removed due to epa laws except for some mobile one high milage oils, and maybe a few others. If it has an api sl rating then it should have more zinc which will protect our old non roller rocker motors better then newer api sn rated oils.

So look for API sl instead of API sn.

Just buy Brad Penn oil if you want zinc additives that what I run and most of the turbo guys run.

Royal Purple HPS is also a great choice, id run that but its not readily available

Probably because rotella is cheap and you can get it in 20w50...
