Anyone have any tips on this camera. Just picked it up I know its a older model but what is it capable of? This is my first REAL camera. Looking g to shoot pretty much everything automotive landscapes just general things. Ill post more info on camera as far as the lences it comes with as soon as I pick it up in 20 min

I have that camera its pretty good does the job most os the time, I mainly just have it on the motion setting cause I feeling like the picture comes out with more color and more definition.

Just sucks when your tryin to do a rolling shot in a bouncy ass car. I have a couple of threads in the members rides section wherei posted up pics of me using it

In my eyes there are only three types of cameras:

1. Point and shoot.
2. SLR
3. Medium Format

Each has its purpose, you fit in the #2 category, which is what we pretty much all use. You are capable of taking photos just like the ones in my flickr with that camera, its all just about learning to use your equipment and manipulating the light given. All you are doing is absorbing data via the camera, and then you manipulate it digitally.

4. camera phones.

but only because girls take slutty mirror pics with them.:thumbsup:

Well great pictures with the camera. Unfortunetly the idiot I was supise to get the camera from and who also owes me money won't come threw. So I will not be getting this.

Damn, know how you feel ( I do live in tucson so I know the feeling all too well). But whats also nice about the D3000 is that programmed into the camera is a 'tutorial' on how to use it. It also has more 'editing' software then most camera. Not just like B&W, sepia, antique, etc settings. But like adjust the color, crop it, manipulate it, and much more. I love it.
