2003 Accord v6 auto, any dealer tricks for a rear main seal r&r??

So, my RMS decided to shit the bed finally. I'm wondering if any dealer guys on here have done one without fully removing the trans? I've heard of the 2nd gen Odysseys having just enough room to keep the trans in the bay (unbolted from the engine, duh!) and carefully do the seal...

Definitely not looking forward to a whole subframe drop for this :(

Its similar to the NSX in the fact that you CAN slide the trans to one side if you have the engine tilted (remove the side mount and use a one man stand to tilt it).

However working around the converter is a PITA, and its really just easier to take the whole thing out imo. Especially if you're on a lift. my 2c, even though they are outdated :)

Yeah I'm on the fence since I want to save the monies on alignment, engine hanger, etc...

But, time is money so it may be worth pulling it all. Thanks for the input!

Correct, if time is money, just do it the normal way. Its 'quicker' although requires more work.

I have an engine hanger u can use if you happen to be in phx soon.

Got this fixed with the help of some great friends, and wore my old ShiftFast shirt while doing it ;)

Im a dealer guy and not really a quick fix for it, I see you got it fixed aleady. I have done over a 100 of these on the lift and sometimes removing things to have better access will save you time in the end when you are fighting other parts and your fat hands are in the way.
