Best Stock Cam For SuperCharger Application
Well heres what my set up is getting to be.
JDM B16A Head JDM B20B Stock Sleeves. ARP Head Bolts Eagle H Beam Rods + Wiseco Pistons 10.4-10.9 compression. 84mm (I got talked into bumping it up) Stock Crank, polished and balanced Forced induction: gear-driven centrifugal supercharger. Procharger runs about 8-9 psi. Website claims 70-75% power gain Also. If I wanted to use a larger intercooler will that effect performance/velocity? I picked up a set of JDM GSR cams, I still have my JDM B16 cams, and I have someone offering me a good deal on CTR cams. What would be the best for this application? Please no flaming on how straight turbo is better yada yada. This is made to be a fun everyday daily driver car. Something thats "reliable" but really fun to just drive, not race. Thanks. |
2 things i am lost about
Golden eagle rods???? you mean eagle rods? two diff comps. and what head do you have? a b16 or b20 head? |
I hope he doesn't have a B20 head.
In SCC awhile ago, they dyno'd a GSR with the Procharger. It put down more than 300whp. |
Id go with some itr/ctr cams if u can get ur hands on them. Very streetable and a more performance oriented vtec lobe compared to the stock b16 cams.

yeah sorry I typed that up very tired. Corrections made :)
|
why don't you get the whole Eagle Rod Bottom End Assembly???
|
cause its a waste of money. honda oem cranks are great.
|
:)
|
make sure you upgrade the valvetrain while you're at it :P
|
lol
ahahaha good call man, i dont get the current trend of throwing massive amounts of money at a motor trying to improve upon the crank? people take Honda cranks to ridiculous numbers all the time. :blunt:
|
i never thought or heard of a honda crank failing. under what power conditions would this happen?
