Retainers for engines no teeth....

Been wondering this for a while, whats the benefits of running titanium retainers instead of new oem retainers on aftermarket valve springs. Looked this up on other forums and been getting mixed reviews. Some say oem is fine, others say titanium will work, even others say use rsx-s retainers.

Set up: not installed
Supertech valve springs
Brian Crower Stage 2 N/A Cams
Golden Eagle Cam Gears

I was always told titanium can handle high rpms better( 8k+rpm)

Titanium us stronger than the oem metal (guessing copper alloy).

All about the weight.

Sprung mass.

A few ounces sounds like nothing till you consider the fervent thrusting......

So it would be in my best interest to go with the titanium just to be on the safe side.
