why did you replace the steering rack w an ep3? tighter turn radius? stronger?

Just dropped the trans off to have it rebuilt. Was quoted 300ish which is an acceptable number for me not to have to worry about me messing something up doing it myself. I should have it back by the end of the week. If all goes well and I am not lazy, motor should be in this weekend.
