99 Accord EX L - mp3 options with stock stereo??
My dad just got a 99 Accord EX L in mint condition for daily driving..Haven't seen it yet,
but it has a stock stereo and I want to give him an mp3 player for his daily commute in the car.. I doubt it has an AUX plug.. So how should I go about this? Should I buy an FM modulator, does this year and model have a cd changer plug in the trunk where most modulators hook up to? Any experience/suggestions/pics would be a great help. Thanks:guns: |
I bought a blitz safe converter from this site, but when I clicked the link they said it was replaced with their own brand, so I would call them and see what they recommend for your application, but I got one from them for my 06 an it works great...

It looks like that convert has a buncha wires compared to the others I've seen recently (they didn't have open wires like that ground wire)
Was it straight forward to install? I really don't want to invest 100-200 bucks in mp3 equip to have it not work.. |
Ya it was straight forward, hardest part was takin out the radio to access the rear... If you can install speakers or amp/ stereo u would be fine with this... Search around I think I saw one for about 60... The ones in best buy are a different brand and more expensive but it wouldn't hurt to check... Also check YouTube there was a video install guide for my application maybe you'll get lucky too
