Noobed. Nikon D80 question
Noob time.
Bought a D80 with a 55-200 NIKKOR lens.... and I cant seem to get whole objects (such as a wall or picture) into frame without standing back ultra far.. .and in some instances am running out of "back up" space to get the object in full frame. I do not have the manual and have had a time locating one on the netzor... does anyone know if there is a setting or something that will allow me to get a wider shot? Or will I need another lense? Such as 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G 6G ED II AF-S DX? |
yep a 55 mm in door is hard to shoot a full frame
you will want a wider lens a 18-55 is a great choice |
great news! aside from the money im going to be spending.

Smaller the mm the wider the image.
GL with your search  |
but if u get 2 low such as 10mm or under you will start to fish eye so keep that in mind
most car shots people shoot a 10-25 mm a 50 mm is fun and every one should get one if you can |
50mm 1.4 = epic :)

Compatible?

It will definitely work, but to what extent I'm not 100% sure. Read some of this stuff and see what you can find out.
EDIT! I just read the fact that that's an AI lens. It won't meter on the D80. In other words, the camera won't tell you anything about the exposure. I have an old AI lens I use once in a while, but I didn't buy it until I fully understood what it took to achieve a decent exposure. |
You can borrow my widescreen if you want but Matt has to return my filter first lol
|
matt return the filter
