Hey fellas!

Just picked up an 04 s2k last weekend and I'm still deciding on what suspension to go with. This will be my DD and I still like to have fun but not track it, maybe down the way I will but for now just looks and a good ride. I've heard of many diff. setups and I'm torn on what to get. Like I said, this will be a DD car and I want it to ride decent. Springs are out of the question, I'm asking for coilover setups only please. thx in advance

Also, I'm wanting to spend between 1200 to 1300 just to give a better understanding.

Gimme some help.

D00d are you ever gonna post pics?

Mafioso 12-25-2007 02:24 PM

save up some more dough and get JIC FLT-A2...

topnotch7gen 12-25-2007 02:31 PM

Oh poopy Dallis! I'm not a good photo guy and I want the pics to do the car justice so whenever Fredy can get some I will be more than happy to Scooter :clapper: the clap!

Mafioso:JIC's are kinda pricey for me.

Mafioso 12-25-2007 02:39 PM

Smoothhhhhhh ride.. stiff.. s2k I was in took a corner doing 60mph+ easy.. hard corner too. Get what ya pay for. Should buy an s2k if pricey is a problem, honestly, lol.

Rufus 12-25-2007 02:47 PM

S2k's aren't THAT expensive d00d. You act like he just bought an SL55

Mafioso 12-25-2007 02:47 PM

Parts. Parts aren't cheap.. besides.. if you want cheap... buy some KSports and call it a day.. if you want to get your monies worth, be prepared to pay a higher dollar.

topnotch7gen 12-25-2007 02:51 PM

What I meant was the JIC's are a more track oriented suspension and would be a waste of money(for me) ie. I'm not tracking my car. I bought the s2k knowing shit wasn't cheap but you can still buy good quality suspension for under 2k:poke:

Mafioso 12-25-2007 02:52 PM

My point is this.. if you have ANY intentions on tracking the car "down the road" by your own words.. why spend money on something cheap now to want to upgrade it later? JIC FLT-A2's are a smooth ride, not harsh, can be daily driven.. and are GREAT for cornering.

soooofit 12-25-2007 02:53 PM

get some koni yellows

topnotch7gen 12-25-2007 05:07 PM

Gotcha! thx for the words. Anybody else have any input on other setups?

jägermeister 12-25-2007 06:32 PM

GroceryStore_ninja 12-25-2007 10:46 PM

get on s2ki there is a whole thread on this im getting the tien super racings but they are kind of pricey 3 g's+

apSquidFace 12-26-2007 09:33 AM

after researching a lot of suspension setups for street use i went with the apexi exv's 12k front and 12k rear. i loved them and they are in your price range.

vtec4dr 12-26-2007 09:38 AM

Personally i ride on the JIC FLT-A2. I can only speak for what i personally have. I bought them NEW and could of bought any suspension but went with them. I read up and figured they were what i want. They are a great suspension for the person who wants a nice stiff suspension and will push the suspension to its full capabilities. If your looking for something to drive around everyday and look good it may not be the suspension for you. I do not drive my car everyday maybe 3 times a month, but when i do i love the suspension and glad i spent the money on it.

 JIC's

You took it at that speed, how bout the night we got pulled over for taking that off ramp over 100mph + and the car just laying flat into the inner lane, cop was so impressed we got out of the ticket. I also remember you being scared shitless ! meheheheheh

JIC Magic FLT-A2 FTMFW

vtec4dr 12-28-2007 04:40 PM

Good luck getting TEIN RA's they were discontinued over a year and a half ago so good luck getting a set and they are not all they are cracked up to be anyways.

TEIN Monoflex would be better.

topnotch7gen 12-28-2007 07:48 PM

Discontinued, really? Hmmmm...I better check that out. Everyone has their own opinions on setups.

GroceryStore_ninja 12-28-2007 11:06 PM

the problem with the mono flex is they have to get specially ordered from Japan
