My first Tucson 10.90 ALL MOTOR PASS
I have run 10's before at speedworld, but never in Tucson. This was my first clean pass in this car since switching to H2B. The car was untuned, but I predict that it was making just under 300 whp.
Compared to Jake's time, I was very slow, but I am happy with the 10. It will only go faster now that I got most of the bugs figured out. |
Wow man! Congratulations and hope you only go faster :)
|
That's why I'm building My h2b
:) but congrats man!! GeRmZ |
Congrats scott!... surprised you ran it untuned... ifo changing the date seemed to work out better this year
|
Gratz man

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the good words!
I had to make a choice to run or not. We had 2 all motor cars going to IFO, Chrissy's F22 street car and Glowstick's H2B. At the last minute Glowstick's killed an oil pump on Joe's dyno. We tried to get it finished, but after a second pump failed, we decided to slap my car together for the event. I put a new cylinder head on my car, that makes a lot more airflow than any of my previous heads. The only problem was that Joe was booked for dyno tuning since this was last minute. I didn't degree my cams, just set them where we had them last year. this should have been close. The next problem was when I dynoed last year at Joes, I was running ID2000cc injectors and we developed a problem with fuel incompatability. The fuel injectors over the last year were swapped to smaller ID1000cc. This whole year, I have been waiting for my cylinder head to show up, which it materialized about a week earlier. So Joe looked through his list of tunes for something I had done previously that was close. I took a gamble. I didn't make any changes, as I just wanted to make 1 or 2 passes down the track. I knew racing would be sorta pointless for me since I alway get stuck racing in the forced induction pro class. I am going to change cams and retune in the next 2 weeks, so I should see things improve greatly. |
Very big accomplishment! Great job!
|
Right on sir, 10.9 is moving especially being all motor. What class were u in at ifo?
Mike |
I don't understand why they put u in the forced induction pro class. Why not the all motor pro.
|
They put me in the forced induction pro class because I have lexan Windows. The don't allow those in the all motor pro class for some reason.
|
you should be proud of yourself. thats a great time especially for the class you were in. the time and car speaks for itself.
congrats man |
What does that car weight ?
|
1710 lbs... roughly with me in it.
Before someone else points it out, This is not very fast for the weight of the car. For example the all motor street cars (2150lb without driver) have run 9.90s @ 136mph. I realize this, but that just gives me hope that as I make changes, the car will go faster. Also when I ran my 10.98 pass at speedworld 4 years ago, I trapped 128.1 MPH, so compared to my more recent run... I can improve on that as well. |
Awesome dude! Keep up the good work!
|
Who went 9.90? Haven't checked the list on the national boards in a while so I'm not really up do date on records.
Mike |
There's been some astonishing numbers lately Mike. You're missing out on a lot! hahah
good seeing you again |
you should be very proud of yourself!!
only like 5% of the honda scene will ever see times like that allmotor |
Boom!
Sent from the future. |
Not yet...
|
congrats scott!! it can only get better..
|
norris broke the record for all motor street here:
|
This is exactly what I was talking about.
|
damn your car is light... should deff be going quicker by the looks of the set up... But good job cause no one else is doing it, yet.
|
It will happen... i got some new cams to test, so once that is dialed in and i get some seat time, this thing is gonna fly!
