opening hood..

the other day i thried to pop my hood in my ek and i noticed the lever just went all the way back, so i went to the front and took a look and the cable had popped out of the latch so now i cant open my hood.. :( whats the easiest way to pop it? thanks.. pm me with info for security reasons.. thanks
